James Morgan I was a decade long customer with Toups. I had my multiple vehicle insurance as well as my homeowners policy with them. My home policy more than doubled in price and I kept getting with them every year asking for them to find me a cheaper rate. I am a retiree and have limited income. They kept lying to me saying that my mortgage company required me to insure my home for much more than the purchase price and much more than I owed. The last time, earlier this year, they advised me I may be able to lower the coverage amount, but could only do so after renewing at the higher coverage rate. Then I switched to USAA and got the exact same coverage for fully one half of the price. I can understand the desire to make more money. However, when you are doing so by lying and stepping on your customers then that is inexcusable.

And theyre quick to lapse you or lose your policy. GREED GREED GREED. They pretend to mark your book when a marking should be marked for the 2 months they mark it for 1, thats stealing.

James Not one to make reviews, but I have never had so many issues working with a insurance company before. The first few months were seamless but after that, each month I was being charged more at one time, then recently double charged. This last month I decided to pay my bill early and then two days later they charged me again and refused to refund me.
