Derek Kennedy, American National - Monroe Claire Breedlove: I would strongly caution anyone against using Derek Kennedy. They falsely reported a lapse in my auto insurance coverage to the Louisiana OMV, even though I maintained continuous coverage and have documentation to prove it. This caused me to receive a notice from the state claiming I owed penalties and fees—fees I should never have been charged.
When I contacted the agency to correct the error, I was met with unhelpful responses and no accountability. This kind of negligence can cause serious financial and legal consequences, and its completely unacceptable. Im now having to take additional steps to clear my driving record and recover costs out of pocket.
If you value accurate record-keeping and responsible service, I would recommend finding another agent. Derek Kennedy is at best grossly incompetent and, at worst, actively engaged in insurance fraud.
