1 /5 MsCareyLane: Sharing my disappointment and frustration with First Finance of Washington Parish. My experience with this company has been nothing short of appalling, especially during a time of personal tragedy. Recently, I had to deal with the financial affairs of a deceased relative who had an account with First Finance. Despite the difficult and emotional circumstances, I reached out to the company, hoping for some understanding and compassion. Unfortunately, what I encountered was the exact opposite. First Finance of Washington Parish was only willing to reduce the finance charges on my late relative’s account by a very small amount, charging double the amount of the original loan. They even charged finance charges after his death. This lack of empathy and rigid adherence to their policies, even in the face of death, is both shocking and disgraceful. It is evident that this company values profit over people, showing a complete disregard for the grieving families of their customers. The representative I spoke with, Brian Luper, was unhelpful and unsympathetic. Instead, I was met with a cold, bureaucratic response that only added to the stress and pain of an already difficult situation. Their refusal to work with me on this matter speaks volumes about their priorities and customer service values. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business with First Finance of Washington Parish to think twice. Their lack of compassion and inflexible approach to finance charges, even in the most tragic of circumstances, is a clear indication that they do not care about their customers’ well-being. Save yourself the headache and heartache and take your business elsewhere. This company’s behavior is inexcusable, and I hope they reconsider their policies and training to better support their customers in the future. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend their services to anyone.
