    Abigail Bourgoyne: I got an engagement ring appraised through Salassi, from the very start I was not impressed. When I initially called to ask about information on the appraisal process I was later informed (after dropping off the ring for appraisal) I was given incorrect information regarding price and the amount of time it would take for the appraisal to be completed. Since then, I recently tried to sell the engagement ring I got appraised by them and was informed by a different jeweler my ring had undergone treatment at some point that is required to be disclosed. Salassi never informed me that they saw signs of treatment at any point during the appraisal process or on any of the paperwork provided. I called them to let them know and throughout our conversation I was also informed that during the appraisal process they simply ran the ring through a machine and it does not seem that an actual individual inspected the jewelry itself (the jeweler who informed me of the treatment only looked at the ring using a microscope for less than 5 minutes and the appraisal took roughly two weeks). I am very disappointed as I have now spent money on an inaccurate service. I do not usually leave reviews but I felt as though this was important information to share with others.
