David Cardenas I was greeted by a familiar face (James)who once worked at the hospital and now is the manager. The server, Cris, took my order and pretty quickly, my seafood gumbo arrived. It was hot, fresh and savory. Before I could finish, my catfish platter was being placed in front of me. It too was fresh and hot. The food overall was well cooked and seasoned perfectly. For dessert, it was the bread pudding that capped off an already wonderful experience. James not only upgraded the menu from the last time I was here, 4 years ago, has a vision to make it more of a gathering spot for friends and family. Larger TV’s have been added, they will be opening up on Sundays and the quality of food is constantly checked and improved. I definitely will be coming back here when I visit the historic city. Thanks to James and all the staff for treating me like family.

Ellen Booth As far as breakfast in Natchitoches, this was the best we’ve had (and we’ve tried many place). The most pleasant surprise was our server Brooklyn. She was attentive without hovering and very accommodating. Brooklyn came across as a genuinely pleasant person and did her job well, all with a smile.

Diana Dunn We went this evening, somewhat hesitant as the last few visits had not been great. We were pleasantly surprised with all aspects. Our server was fabulous! Food was served promptly, correctly and piping hot, drinks never ran out. We are so happy to see they are returning to the place we once frequented. Looking forward to our next time!

Brian Pennison Wife and I were in town for the weekend for Christmas experience. Saturday night after the fireworks we stopped in here as it was close to our hotel. When we walked in they were extremely busy. We considered leaving but to our surprise we were seated within 10 minutes. From that moment on we watch the staff work like little ants. From the hostess, to the waiter, the buss staff, and the kitchen staff were just all working in such uniseion. Its like they just feed off each other. We didnt have to wait on anything for long. This entire staff on the evening we came in, 12/20/25, was A++. So wonderful we left a 50% tip.

linda Stewart Today was our 1st time at girilines home cooking , we got the stuffed bell pepper plate and it was DELICIOUS!! Cant wait to go there again , Thank you Giriline , also thanks for such nice hospitality, cant wait to have some dressing❤

brice calzaretta One of my favorite parts of visiting my family in Natchitoches is the meat pies. The Mini meat pies here i would give a 9.3/10. The crust was nice and flaky and the meat was perfectly seasoned with just a little kick. I tried the sauce they come with but prefer them plain. My steak was cooked perfectly and tender all the way through with amazing buttery beef flavor. I did not have any room for dessert. Our waitress was attentive and checked in many times to make sure our drinks were filled and our food was correct.

James Mischler I’ve been to Raising Cane’s in several cities, and the one in Natchitoches is as good as they come. The restaurant is always clean, the counter help is friendly, and the food is hot and has good flavor. I especially like the sauce served with the chicken—it has a nice “ tang” without overpowering the flavor of the meat.

Kellie I had such a great time here, and to say I made a happy plate is exactly what I did, I had the Margaritas on the rocks, and a order of cacadias, with house dressing!! So yummy and our waitress was so much fun, and the hostess who we payed our tab with.

Sarai A Great place! The food was amazing, juicy, and well seasoned. The people working there were very nice, and serves us quickly. The place itself might look sketchy, especially being a bit isolated from town, but it has got great food.

Lauren Vienne Amazing food, prepared with a lot of knowledge and care. Hash browns were perfectly crisp on the outside, eggs were so fluffy and well seasoned. Kid friendly and kid approved; our daughter loved her smash burger! Great prices are a bonus!

Sue Neskorik We had a different experience at the Venue this morning. We went in for brunch at 11:20 AM, it was obvious that they didnt have much help. We were seated by a nice young lady and she came to take our order. At that time we realized she was definitely struggling. When she came back to bring us our tea she said that the staff had not arrived and she was the front desk person. It took some time to get our order but she was a trooper and she and one other really nice lady behind the bar handled everything. When we were getting ready to leave the owners atowners arrived to save the day...Yall did a awesome job with a bad situation. Great job. Well be back again, thank you for a great job.

Cher Couvillion Wilson Such a lucky surprise! The only Chinese buffet in Natchitoches, & the food is so good! Very clean with a nice variety of dishes to choose from. The selections are fresh & tasty. My favorite was the General Tsos Chicken. I also loved the Cream Cheese Peppers. And, I was gifted a cool calendar for the new year! Great prices. Check it out! Foodie Cat Wow !! This place is far better than I ever imagined!! Right of I-49 and easy to get to. Then, easy to get back on and continue on your way ! First off, they also have gas pumps. The name is misleading, and I didnt really know what to expect. Inside is amazing. You have your basic convenience stuff - cookies, chips, coke, candy, and typical convenience store stuff. Added to that, there is a small section of Louisiana souvenirs... do you Christmas shopping whilst youre here. The biggest and BEST is the eatery! Its a small area to order lunch, cookies, and pick up a bottle of wine or two. You can read all the other reviews for the specific foods... Its a quaint, little cafe thing with a handful of tables indoors. All the employees are great which makes for a great visit for you !!
