What Clients Are Saying about Gators Den Casino (on GG)
5 /5 Sonny Barker: I like video poker, if you like video poker this is it
3 /5 Dustin James: I dont usually promote alcohol but those machines are really rewarding
5 /5 JamminJammer 7: Great little spot,,great peeps,,best pot luck in town (after 6:00 pm)
2 /5 LeeAnne Stephens: They are not open 24 hours, every night they close around 3. And Im standing by the front door at this very moment 11p.m. on a Monday night and the doors are locked. No sign posted and the phone number listed does not work.
4 /5 Jeff Forren: I liked it, the employees were really nice. But the only game offered was about 20 different types of video poker.
Scott Cole: Booked a room for my wifes birthday. She has gambled there before while vacationing in Holland and liked the casino. First off, the parking arrangements are terrible. Self parking is a joke unless you want to walk 1/2 mile. The parking garage is located on the far side of the complex and hard to find the entrance. Used the valet, which I generally dont like to do. Arrived slightly after 3pm and the room was not ready. We were told to come back at 3:30pm and the line for check in (with only 2 attendants) was backed up to the entrance door. Took 20 minutes to check in! Worse, I had gotten my veterans card from Gun Lake and asked if the discount could be applied. The clerk said my wife had more credits due to losses on previous visits and her discount would be more than the veterans discount. Bottom line was NO discount was ever applied to the overpriced $275.00 room. To make matter worse there was NO valet available when we checked out. The front desk got me my key and I went and got my own car.....Bottom line, there are much better casinos in Michigan. The Soaring Eagle could provide them valuable input on how to improve customer service and guest experience. I will NOT be back!
Kris Schwarzbauer: I have visited Mystic Lake Casino a couple times and have never been too disappointed. I have never stayed in the hotel so I will not speak on that.
Both times I visited Mystic I used the valet parking service and both times I had incredible experiences, more so the first time. I took an expensive loaner BMW through valet and the attendant was so friendly and complimented me on the car two or three times. They were careful with my BMW and Toyota alike which I think is awesome -- no double standards. I think about these experiences a lot they were so wonderful! Both were fast, professional, and convenient.
The slot machines are what you would expect.
We visited the gift shop both times and the employees were very knowledgeable and kind.
We visited the tower restaurant on Visit #1. The host was very quick and friendly. It was a fairly steady night so our server took awhile to get to our table. When she got there though, she was awesome! I wish I knew her name because her charisma and charm was off the charts. Half a year later and I still remember her! The most memorable item from our meal was the delicious giant pretzel! This is a more pricey option for food.
On our second visit we visited the fast food option. Despite going sort of close to closing time, the staff was still professional and our food was made to order and delicious. This is by far the most budget friendly option. I was impressed with the variety!
I give it a 4 only because the campus is a little confusing to navigate, especially if you arent a regular and its night time. I was also very disappointed to find a 21 check in age for the hotel compared to other casinos in MN, but thats a fairly minuscule thing.
