3 /5 Amy Dick: Tried out this down-home cooking spot, and let me tell you—it was fine. The food did the job, but it didn’t exactly feel like grandma was back there stirring the pots. The fried chicken was crispy but could’ve used more seasoning, the sides were decent but kind of flat (mashed potatoes should not taste like tap water, y’all)!
Service was friendly, portions were generous, and the price wasn’t bad. But if you’re expecting soul-warming comfort food that makes you want to loosen your belt and nap on the porch afterward, this wasn’t quite it.
Rating: 3/5 – worth it if you’re already hungry and nearby, but not a “go out of your way” kind of place.
