5 /5 Scarbrough Jr David (DāDā): This place makes some of the best cracklins since they do it right. Other places keep too much meat attached to the fat and that’s become a problem in this industry. More meat left on yields more weight when sold to the patrons, but this takes away from the whole cracklin taste and texture. If other places would just cook their cracklins the way you’re supposed to, then more people happier to buy and fresh genuine product. So kudos to Hebert’s for doing it correctly!
The super nice sales clerk in there early this morning was fantastic. (July 3rd) More places need people like this working for them.
The place had a nice and comfortable feeling to it. Sold fresh food but also frozen. They had a variety of spices and Louisiana staples. This place even has McWare cookware so that was pretty neat.
