5 /5 Nathalie Alarcon: Yes I highly recommend this place for “Pozole.” Thank you so much for this amazing soup helps when feeling unwell or under the weather, during fall, and it’s seasoned just right. I am truly amazed I will be making the drive from Mid City to try other entrees. The pictures don’t do its justice of fantastic flavors.

5 /5 Terri Austin: This was my first time at this great little restaurant, but it won’t be my last. I started with a Dos XX and was pleasantly surprised when it was accompanied by an ice cold mug. The steak and shrimp fajitas came out sizzling mixed with onions and peppers. The homemade corn tortillas were delicious also. The bonus of it all was the great service!

4 /5 Diana Bordenave: Had a good experience dining at La Providencia. It was recommended by a friend of ours and we enjoyed the food. The tacos were delicious. The chimichanga plate was great and flavorful. The pozole came out super hot and it was very good. Was a little spicy, but had good taste. Restaurant is clean and well kept. Good service. Would definitely go back to try other dishes.

5 /5 Balboa Mellissa (Queen Mel): So I will be very honest. I found this place by accident but glad I did. I got there right around 11am and was greeted immediately. I was sat down quickly. I ordered the enchilada plate with white sauce, ground beef and side of rice and beans. I am from Texas so this in no way touches the flavors of my hometown but it was very homemade and delicious. The charro beans were delicious. The rice was plain but just the right amount of seasoning to get away with a satisfied taste. Over all the parking was easy, the staff was wonderful, the bathroom was very clean and the food overall was good for being here in NOLA. If you want small cozy atmosphere with Mexican vibes ...this is the small spot.
