2 /5 Daniel Read: My daughter and I stopped here after a tournament in Eunice, looking for a quick sushi stop on the way home. The restaurant was empty when we arrived, and we ordered as soon as our drinks were brought to the table at 5:20 PM.
After 45 minutes, two tables that ordered after us received their food, while we had only received one roll. After a little over an hour, I got up and told the server I would just pay for what we had already eaten so we could get back on the road. Only then was I told, “Well, your rolls are here.”
We went back to the table, ate, and finally left at 6:45 PM.
What was supposed to be a quick stop turned into over an hour for three sushi rolls.
The sushi itself tasted old and heavily over-sauced. We had to scrape off excess sauce with a fork. It was edible and we didn’t get sick, but the quality was on par with grocery store sushi, not restaurant sushi.
Between the long wait, poor timing, and underwhelming food quality, this was a disappointing experience especially given how empty the restaurant was when we arrived.
