5 /5 Larry Roy: Christ Church-Ruston Campus
Family. That is what you are. The moment you walk through the door you can feel the acceptance and genuine excitement. Every volunteer is passionate about what they do and how they do it. Each staff member you meet exudes the love of Christ and a willingness to do anything short of sin to not only lead people to Christ but to help deepen the spiritual relationships between the Creator and His creation.
Pastor Jeremy Lowe is a true servant leader. He is the type of pastor who builds bridges in the community between churches, Believers, and individuals/groups who need partners to serve God more effectively. Pastor Tom Lowe never fails in his directed efforts to remind us all that we ARE family and we are ALL called to serve somewhere doing something to promote and live out THE Great Commission.
There is a reason that ANY building or outreach with the ”Christ Church name on it attracts those who have been hurt by a church, damaged by the world and those who KNOW that there MUST be something MORE to life than what they have seen. Christ Church is a place that strengthens families, faith, and friendship.
When you truly and honestly give Christ Church a ”try” you are in fact yielding to the Holy Spirit and letting the negative words spoken over your life by so many fall away. Whether you are called to stay and serve or are led somewhere else to worship and serve, you are left not only remembering but increasingly believing the words, ”Christ Church, a place where you do not have a past, only a future!
Christ Church isn’t ”competing” with other churches, but wishing to strengthen and aid them. It is not a place of pressure, but one of peace and healing. The music, the lights, the screens, and the technology...they are but tools used in living up to the statement to ”bring before God your BEST!” Why would we do anything less with the advances God has allowed humans to make?
So, if you are broken, feeling anger or betrayal, or perhaps just experiencing a strong desire to do more or serve differently, consider visiting. You having nothing to lose by worshipping with a body of Believers eager to have you visit, and everything to gain from the God who KNOWS you are called to do GREAT THINGS for His kingdom wherever you are.
