1 /5 grem lindad: Today I attended my grandfather’s funeral at this church. The service was beautiful but the preacher did something that felt extremely insensitive during our last viewings. As I stepped up to the coffin to say my final goodbyes to the greatest man I’ve ever known, crying my eyes out and trying to cope with the situation, after about 10-15 seconds the preacher LOUDLY cleared his throat while staring directly at me as if to let me know to speed it up and move on. I understand it’s not the time to hang out, but i had only just stepped up to the coffin, and was already being rushed away by some man I’ve never met before. It made a very difficult day already worse, and I couldn’t imagine trying to rush someone who is CLEARLY grieving someone very dear to them.
