Dave Stewart: (I am not Baptist) The Vernon Baptist Association in Vernon Parish, Louisiana has numerous ministries making a HUGE difference in the lives of many. They have many Bible Based Activities including Bible Studies, classes, English as a 2nd language classes, and many other activities. They have an emergency food pantry and a "Helping Hands" store where folks can get clothing for 50-cents (often for a quarter), and just about any item they may need for household or for kids. Helping Hands store selection is better an bigger than many stores - yet is always changing as items are donated. Everything is run by volunteers of many faiths who invest Christs Love in their actions in order to bless Christians and not-yet-Christians alike! The VBA is making a positive difference in the lives on thousands in Vernon Parish. Everyone is welcome at the VBA.
