1 /5 Glenn Blair: Used this establishment before with pretty good results and was satisfied. Dropped car off this week with stuck AC panel button. Was shoved a blank piece of paper to complete with info. The clerk took what I had written down and added what I told them was wrong. Was contacted an hour later and told that a diagnostic fee was charged at 174.00. Switch panel new was a little less than 400. Was offered a used panel at 275.00 to equal about 875.00 for a used part that would not be in for at least a week. I respectfully declined and picked car up NO PLACE in the business was there a sign regarding what the diagnostic fee would be, nor was I told when I dropped car off.
Clerk was rude and seemed to not be very thorough when it came to advising charges Not to mention that the part that they were trying to sell me over the phone for 375.00 was available locally for 45.00. The two hours to remove the gearshift bezel took 30 minutes from start to finish when I repaired it myself.
I paid for the 174.00 diagnostic fee which was a pretty pricey lesson. When I picked the car up, it was parked in the same place and didnt appear anyone disassembled the dash to look at the stuck button. Then again, they really did not have to because I told them what was actually wrong.
I would avoid this auto center.
