I went in for a chipped tooth this past Saturday and this was the closest spot I found for walk ins. Long story short, the dentist was dismissive and rough. He didnt explain anything he was doing during my procedure and there was no effort to make sure l was comfortable.
Before numbing me, he tried to give me nitrous which I opted out of because it would have been $545.. for a small chipped tooth. The numbing part was so intense I felt it through my nose I started tearing up. He goes "well thats what the nitrous was for but you refused." I was thinking well it sounds like you don’t know how to do your job either! During the procedure, his hand placement was covering my nose making it difficult for me to breathe properly. I even raised my hand 2x but he didnt see so I spoke up. On top of that, the office felt dirty and neglected. The following day, my tooth bonding broke off!!! I let him know what happened and thankfully I was able to get a refund. I got my tooth fixed with another dentist today and they charged me only half of what they were. They also did not use nitrous or had to numb me. Please stay away if you value your life and teeth.
Exceptional Dental of Uptown - New Orleans Ande Hawkins: Everyone I interacted with there was welcoming and genuine. Michelle, the office manager, is warm and friendly, and Dorothy the dental assistant is great with getting patients to relax a little. Dr. Nguyen is very professional and efficient while also putting her patients comfort (physical and emotional) first. I have hated going to dentists my whole life and now feel like I have found a place that I can regularly go to. Couldnt recommend this place more.

They do not have ugly wigs. They are very friendly and Ill give them a 10 and reading and I will recommend them to someone else

I had Liz for my cleaning and she was absolutely wonderful! Very kind and personable. My visit was quick and pain free. She is hands down the reason that I will be coming back here for all of my dental needs!
