5 /5 Molly Mendez: Great little museum with fantastic exhibits. Sysinctly lays out the history of New Orleans and the red light district. It covers everything from early settlers to the north of jazz. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Really lovely stop!

5 /5 Gábor Bene B.: It was a great way to start my New Orleans visit. I didnt know much about New Orleans, so it was a great way to educate myself on the basics. The first half of the tour tells the brief history of New Orleans in an easily digestible way, then goes into details when its about Storyville and the history of prostitution. I spent 2.5 hours there, reading all the signs and stories and I really enjoyed it. I recommend it to anyone who would like to understand the citys history and has little knowledge about it yet.

5 /5 The Hat Man: This is a wonderful museum for a very forgotten part of an important place in New Orleans history. The museum flows very nicely with a very hefty amount of information. Considering the subject matter I would not take anyone under 15 to this museum. The whole concept is well thought out and tastefully deals with the subject that some might find objectionable. My only suggestion would be that they have some sort of audio tour with it. Since theres a lot of text this might be overwhelming to some people.

However, the Storyville Museum completely changed that in the best possible way. Despite my deep-rooted connection to New Orleans, I found myself discovering fascinating details that not only gave me a deeper understanding of the city but also helped me connect with myself in a new way. Visually, the museum is absolutely stunning. Every corner, display, and artifact feels carefully chosen, and you can tell that a lot of thought went into how everything is arranged. The attention to detail is refreshing, from the way the exhibits are lit to the informative plaques that guide you through the story. It’s not just a collection of items; it’s a well-curated experience that takes you on a journey through time, bringing the rich history of Storyville to life in a meaningful and engaging way.
