5 /5 Jeannie Grantham: Nice covered play areas. Good for younger kids. There is an outdoor workout area for adults, which is innovative! The splash pad looks like itll be a blast, I wish it was covered too but Im sure we will enjoy it this summer regardless. We often see people being there dogs here. Lots of large green fields for the kids to run in. Update* 5/19/25 We enjoyed the splash pad today! Most of the equipment was operational. There was a school having a trip there adding to the kids but it still wasnt bad!

3 /5 Jeremy Prudhome: The park wad nice but we had a birthday party and random unsupervised kids kept coming up and trying to steal our food constantly. To the point we had to hide our food because they didnt care and werent parented at all. Not the parks fault but not somewhere I care to go back for that purpose. When I told the kids they could have some but their mom had to approve, I found her in her car and got cussed out about all the other grown folks that were there could watch her kids. Typical Shreveport/Bossier kind of people.

5 /5 Laura McLeod: My family has been coming to this park for at least the past 12-13 years and it has always been one of our favorites in Bossier City! The restrooms are kept up and stocked appropriately, the water play area is always a hit on the hot days, they have ample parking along with picnic areas, a huge open field to throw the ball around or frisbee or whatever….there’s plenty of room for multiple groups to fit comfortably and without hitting each other. Perfect place for kids’ birthday parties. There is a nice paved track to walk. In a very safe neighborhood that is well maintained and clean. Not a single negative thing to say about this place in over a decade’s worth of visits with our now 15, 13, and 4 year old kiddos!!!

5 /5 Madelyn Mazurek: I love this beautiful recreation area! It’s perfect for taking your dog out to walk through the grass and it is usually empty unless a sport event is going on. There’s plenty of opportunity for shade and it’s a very nice place to enjoy the great outdoors!

4 /5 Marley Gore: I’m child loves it here. I do wish they cleaned the splash pad area more frequently. There’s rocks and a few cigarettes and just trash in general in the plash pad area. There’s also a few really slippery spots from not being cleaned enough. We’ve been here for 30 minutes and I’ve seen 4 kids slip and fall on one spot in particular. Other than that it’s a very fun spot for the littles. I like how you can go back and forth from park to splash pad. Makes it more entertaining than just a park or just a splash pad.

Jeanette: Decent park. Defunct river cruise ramp needs to be removed. Rose sculpture were unique, probably better at night if they are illuminated. Fountain looked like it would have been pretty if it had actually been on, unfortunate it was pitiful with stagnant algae covered water. The highlight was the sensory garden and the police and firefighter memorial.

Walbrook Park - Bossier City

Dawayna Walker: The toilet paper holders in the womens restroom were broken and the toilet paper was sitting on the floor. Thats the only problem about this park. Its small, the location was really accessible, the parking lot was very close to the fields so if you dont have a wagon you can make a few trips back to your car to retrieve what you left.

Shreveport Railroad Museum - Shreveport

Elijiah Atkinson: It was cool, good people , real history, southern hospitality. Even tho museum interest is definitely not on the top of the 20 and under crowds list of fun things to do, it was a good time for a couple old farts lol. Cant say enough how cool the tour guides were at this place and the water pumphouse museum next door. Great tours both places I definitely recommend checking it out if you in the area and havent visited before..... Been a long time since I took a museum tour that was educational and entertaining , and both guides were great. Bravo .

John Faubion: Stopped by at two on Sunday, but it was closed. Got back to the hotel and looked it up, and it was supposed to open from 11-7. Went back again Monday morning. It was supposed to open at 11, but again, it wasnt open. If you have a tourist attraction, even if the website doesnt get updated, put a note on your damn answering machine to say, "Hey, were not open!" Or even put the hours or a note on the door that explains why youre not open. Im quite disappointed with the boardwalk and, frankly, with Shreveport/Boosier over all. We had several people tell us that there wasnt that much to do here, and I now believe them!
