  • What Clients Are Saying about Sci-Port Discovery Center (on GG)
4 /5 Anthony Buchanan: I dont usually give 4 stars. I loved the idea of it. Loved the activities and the lay out of them the activities arent maintained like they need to be. There were so many things my family and I couldnt do, because they were broken. Some activities were operable but almost broken. We need to see more invested into this for our youth. My kids absolutely loved this place. They obviously didnt see things the way I did, they just moved on. All and all, I would absolutely go again!
5 /5 Vick Carson: The kids had a blast and mom & dad stayed entertained during our three plus hour visit. Of particular interest was the multi-story play area, make-believe dress up areas and kids grocery/kitchen/bank teller area. They also really enjoyed the science hands-on area and steering the sail boat. The particular video we watched at the planetarium was definitely oriented towards adults. Our kids lost interest in five minutes. Perhaps other options are more kids friendly. Age level recommendations in the description of the movie would be advised.
5 /5 Malcolm B: If youre in the city of Shreveport and youre looking for something cool and entertaining for the young ones to do. Look no further this is the place that you need to go. This is for kids that are curious and just like to have fun. We took our daughter here while it was raining. Its worth checkout in cases of inclement weather.
5 /5 Arika B.: Theres a Childrens Pop Museum that is included with general admission to sci port. In the pop museum, there are many interactive activities and rooms for toddlers and small children. Some include a fashion show runway room with costumes for kids to try on, a diner (with pretend food, kitchen, and tables), a dentist office for kids to play pretend on patients, and a veterinarian clinic with real animals. This was awesome to do on a rainy day!
3 /5 Brittany Brinson: Weve been here multiple times over the past 10 years, in recent years though weve trip to make the trip with our boys and for some reason something is going on with it where were not able to take them. Theyre closed or closed early due to some reason... the last time in june/july they closed early due to the ac stopped working. Fast forward to now, we finally got to take them and were quite disappointed. The price was fair 10$ per person. Exhibits were shut down from flood damages or something?... The snack and gift shop closed as always (though cant remember a time when they were actually open) They added a game area downstairs for borad games. Upstairs, many of the exhibits were broke not working and the toddler area was really run down with missing toys/ parts to the other areas. Basically the kids only participated in the shopping area, water activity, anything building related and playground. They lost interest in most everything else and were bored the 2 painful hrs we stayed.

    K. Koning: Definitely come here if you like history and/or ghosts because this place has both! My girlfriend and I went on a Thursday afternoon and really enjoyed ourselves! The exhibits are full of interesting trinkets found very close to the building itself. The man working the front, (Marty) is an absolute riot! He was very informative and answered many of our questions about Shreveports history and the objects within the museum. Theres definitely paranormal activity within this building, especially upstairs so its a must if youre into that kinda thing! Just make sure to touch the beard of the portrait of the man upstairs.. youll know him when you see it ! Its rumoured to be good luck!
    Shreveport Riverview Park - Shreveport
    Shreveport Riverview Park
Jeanette: Decent park. Defunct river cruise ramp needs to be removed. Rose sculpture were unique, probably better at night if they are illuminated. Fountain looked like it would have been pretty if it had actually been on, unfortunate it was pitiful with stagnant algae covered water. The highlight was the sensory garden and the police and firefighter memorial.

Mike Knuckles: Small and simple. If your are in Bossier City and love history/aircraft, give the Global Power Museum a view.

Dawayna Walker: The toilet paper holders in the womens restroom were broken and the toilet paper was sitting on the floor. Thats the only problem about this park. Its small, the location was really accessible, the parking lot was very close to the fields so if you dont have a wagon you can make a few trips back to your car to retrieve what you left.

Elijiah Atkinson: It was cool, good people , real history, southern hospitality. Even tho museum interest is definitely not on the top of the 20 and under crowds list of fun things to do, it was a good time for a couple old farts lol. Cant say enough how cool the tour guides were at this place and the water pumphouse museum next door. Great tours both places I definitely recommend checking it out if you in the area and havent visited before..... Been a long time since I took a museum tour that was educational and entertaining , and both guides were great. Bravo .
