D I can personal guaranty this is the very best University. The professors actually really care about the students. There is a low students/faculty ratio which allows for small classes which helps learn the valuable information, which is taught for the preparation of medical school and other programs.

MM Kirby-Smith Hall, the abandoned looking building that looks like the old EKL Hospital, behind Cedar Hall. Dont do it! As a 1st year student, I would prefer my child stay home than here. Too bad you cant cancel your housing contract without penalties. Go Tigers!

Joanna Slaton The Pentagon dorms are old and run down, they make freshmen stay on campus with very little choice on which dorm they get and then we have to move out for the next year, yet they have no openings for the on campus apartments. We were on a waitlist which did nothing and now we are having to look for an apartment off campus, and theres no parking so if you have to drive in each day, good luck finding a spot! For as much money we pay and that LSU receives in general, you would think they would build more on campus housing and parking lots! Im really disappointed with our experience at this school...would have definitely chose another option!

Cynthia Loftin My child was told by email that he could move dorm rooms after having a nightmare roommate. He was forced to continue living with this person until housing opened a portal to change rooms. He tried talking to his RA and RC but neither wanted to help him. He went to the housing office and was told he needed to fill out a form. He filled out the forms. After he received permission to move and was told of his new room number he was relieved and excited for a fresh start. He was told he had to vacate his room first and check out of his old room before he could move to his new dorm and new roommate. He also had to argue to get a cart to help move all his belongings. After he had moved out with most of his things in a cart and the rest in his car he was taken to the new room he was assigned that he couldnt move into. The people in the new room didnt know he was coming and there was no space for him. He had to sit in the lobby for hours with all his things. The people in charge first asked if he could just move back into the room he just vacated! Then the staff asked the students on some chat for the dorm if he could stay with someone in their room. He was put in a room as a guest until Monday where he will be forced to move again! LSU talks like they have a team to take care of your child but this is all talk. The school requires our children live in the dorms their first year but in my childs case he is homeless and has to be a guest until they find him a space. It is hard to trust that my child is being cared for when his basic need of shelter is being neglected. How is he to feel he has a home there? How can he do his homework or feel safe there. I am understandably upset by this situation and I hope it has not or does not happen to others. The system in place should be changed.

Hunter Hansen Had a relative take an English class online, had As Bs on all assignments, got a lower score on the final, and failed the class. turns out the final is pass/fail for the class. So the other grades do not matter. Makes one wonder why the other assignments are graded. Also, the management for this online section was rude and hard to communcate with. Professor was slow to communicate. Online submission of assignments was glicthy. So I recommend a community college; we had better experience there.

Summer Almonte The main reason I came to this school is because I was told it was self pace. Come to find out it’s not. I always get the run around when it’s time to register for classes, nobody knows how to do anything over there. Smh

Everett Dorsey Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. The lack of communication with the staff is unbelievable. I would have full on conversations with people on the phone, then not hear back for days or weeks on tight deadlines. Was assigned a “student success” coach that knew nothing about what I was doing in school. The lack of guidance in choosing classes and time lines etc was so frustrating. I was advised to sign up for a class, I did so. Was dropped from the class because “I wasn’t supposed to be in it” (even though I was literally told to). Then after dropping I called to ask what happened. Was called back over a week later with a vague response and NOBODY TOLD ME THAT I WAS BILLED FOR THE CLASS EVEN THOUGH I WASNT EVEN ENROLLED IN IT. Then when I asked about it I was given the run around and treated as if I was the biggest idiot in the world for signing up for a class I was literally told to. How else would a new person whose never been in school just pick a random class and try to go to school? Unbelievable. Now they won’t respond to any emails I sent about the charge. Place is a joke.

Brennan Diez William Carey is a great school! The faculty and staff members are very helpful and encouraging and they always put the students first. I loved my time here as a student and I will miss it greatly.

Jacklyn Aiello For those who are not familiar with William Carey, this is a private Christian School of Nursing. They are based out of Mississippi but have a campus in Baton Rouge. In other schools in the area, the programs take two and a half years. The accelerated nursing program at William Carey can be finished in 18 months for a bachelors degree, meaning I obtain a higher education level for less time. This is by far the best school I have ever attended. The small classes (30 or so students) make the learning environment one on one. You build relationships with the students and faculty. I know that they are rooting for my success just as much as I am. I am genuinely grateful to attend here.

Ashlyn Collins I’m currently a Level III nursing student at WCU BR campus! I’m honored to be the Level III class delegate for our campus’s SNA chapter and anticipating graduation August of 2021. My time at WCU BR has been nothing if not incredible. My instructors and fellow classmates have made me feel like a member of their families. As a campus, we operate as a family, and the faculty truly want to ensure that you are given the knowledge and skills to go forth and be the best that you can be and make a difference in the care of others within communities. I absolutely love my WCU BR family and can confidently say that attending school here was the best decision I could have made for myself and my family!

Terry Bryant Horrible school they have no regard for anyone and you will learn nothing. The faculty and staff will lie to you in a heartbeat. Also don’t be fooled by they have a lab for the HVAC program because they don’t they have 3 a/c units and you won’t be allowed to touch them.

Sara Winegard Called and asked for the price to get my LONG hair straightened, was told "we dont give prices over the phone - check our website." Website says thermal (flat iron) is $20, additional charge MIGHT apply for long hair. Went in, they saw my hair, never mentioned the additional charge. $20 is listed on their price board in the salon area. 3/4 of the way through, the cashier comes over and says "Oh, its going to be $35 instead." Thats INSANELY high, because beauty schools usually charge $10 for it, because theyre students with no experience. If I wanted to pay $35, I would go to an actual salon. The student spent 30 minutes washing my hair, an hour and fifteen minutes blow drying my hair incorrectly (teacher had to come and correct her, even said we just learned this technique in class THIS week), and MAYBE ten minutes flat ironing my hair. It was average at best (how do you mess up flat ironing hair? it doesnt even take skill!) and was already wavy by that evening. I had to restraighten my hair myself. The manager/boss wasnt there that day, either. When I called, she said it could only have been fixed that day, and that she wasnt there so it couldnt have been anyways. Very disappointed, thankfully my credit card company will make this right. I dont mind paying $20 for my hair to be straightened, but upcharging on a job that wasnt even done is just wrong. I recommend just going to a salon - its the same price, and youll get much better service.

Honest Review Im telling you right now, RUN dont walk away from this school. Dont apply, dont register, do not attend this school!!! Extremely expensive and the school is a joke in the eyes of the surrounding companies. All of the students cheat. Or help others cheat. They dont even offer the proper credentials you need unlike other schools. The staff is a joke which rotates seasonally and they keep internal mess and drama. You can attend a community college for MUCH cheaper w/ more pull. If youre attending, I would tell you to transfer out, but your credits wouldnt be worth anything, so youd have to start all over. Take it from me, dont do it!

Dennis Black Nice building. Very clean and quiet. Elevator is old and is prone to sudden failure.**CAUTION**

William White Great building with lots of spaces to study if you are working on a project or need a spot on campus to work on homework. Exterior looks good from the ground but I am disappointed that LSU was uninterested in committing to the Architectural style of the campus and completing the clay tile roof over the entirety of the building. Instead opting for a flat TPO roof over much of the building to make way for HVAC equipment.

T D “Grimm” If you affectionately desire all the shades and hues of brown, the interior of this building is for you. Forget the learning to be had, see how the color brown can affect your perception here.

Dwayne Hinton This department is home to many friendly and helpful professionals. Aside from the professors, the front office staff are also phenomenal!
