For my birthday I decided to try this new restaurant. We called in a pickup order for eggplant sticks, chicken parmesan, and a catfish platter. The estimated wait time was 20 minutes according to the lady who took my order over the phone. The order took almost one hour to be completed. Came home with the food finally and what a disappointment. Most of the eggplant sticks were bitter and the marinara sauce just didn’t seem right. It tasted a little bit like Mexican salsa. The chicken parmesan was ordered with a salad with blue cheese dressing; however the blue cheese was spread all over the spaghetti and none was on the salad. The worst part was the blue cheese had spoiled making the whole dish inedible. The catfish was good, but the coleslaw did not taste fresh. My husband returned for a refund on the eggplant, chicken parmesan, and tip. The manager argued that there was nothing wrong with the marinara, that the coleslaw was fresh, and that blue cheese all over the spaghetti wasn’t that big of a mistake. She would only refund the chicken parmesan and tip. The cashier performing the refund argued how it wasn’t fair to refund the tip since it wasn’t her fault. A combination of extreme slowness, food prepared incorrectly, and staff that can’t admit fault or sincerely apologize all contribute to me never going here again.
