1 /5 Mia Taylor: Look, I’m usually not one to complain or say I’m not paying. But I respectfully complained… here is the rest of the story! We came to craw daddy’s because we wanted boiled shrimp, we ordered the fried pickles they were excellent! I thought we would order a couple Bloody Mary’s, no don’t order Bloody Mary’s there. They were not seasoned and I had to add salt & pepper and hot sauce. Anyway food arrived we had the family boiled seafood platter. $79. I got a potato off the platter lukewarm and not done. The corn was barely warm on one side and cold on the other. The shrimp was cold and hard to peel. I was done at that point. I did not even try the crab legs but they felt cold… it was not a hot boiled platter, like it should have been. I called our waitress over and stated everything was cold. She said she would take it to the kitchen and have it reheated. I sat there for a second and thought, “ this is not acceptable” and I asked for the manager and respectfully said , I’ll pay for the drinks and the fried pickles but not the platter. The fried pickles were hot and excellent. The Bloody Mary were not but I did drink them, shouldn’t have but I did, because it was better after I doctored it. I told her the bartender needs to work on learning how to make them. The manager was understanding and took it off my bill. I have eaten there about 4 times prior to this visit and usually it’s good. Not sure what’s going on with them. I paid $32 and tipped $8 only because the service was okay and the fried pickles were excellent. We left and went to Roux 61 because we still wanted boiled shrimp. We also had grilled oysters, fried green tomatoes, hot boiled corn and done boiled potatoes and everything was pipping hot and had to actual blow before you took a bite. I should have went there in the first place, because they are always excellent! And that’s the rest of the story. And no I did not tell Roux 61 about my experience at Crawdaddys.
