Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel - Charenton (LA)

2 /5 Oshanae Smith: While housekeeping does a good job keeping the rooms clean, the overall condition of the hotel rooms has clearly declined over time. The furniture and walls have peeling paint, and there are visible water stains on the walls and ceilings in both the hallways and guest rooms. The water pressure on the first floor is extremely low, making showers uncomfortable. Additionally, there is mildew present in the showers, which is a serious health concern. This property is no longer maintained at the level it once was, and the lack of proper upkeep significantly impacted my stay.

5 /5 Philip Smith: I had a great stay and visit at the Cypress Bayou Casino & Hotel. The rooms were what we were expecting, everything seemed fairly clean. The casino while not enormous was a great size for the area, fun to experience, and the connected bar was fantastic. I will admit, maybe the bar was a little TOO fun, and I know there was at least one period of time where I was walking around with my father-in-laws lucky hat and listening to 1920s band music on my phone... so maybe it is a bit of a blur, but it was a great and memorable time nonetheless.

1 /5 47 Redhawk: Hotel: The air conditioner makes so much noise each time that it cuts on that it would wake us up all night. It was so loud we recorded the noise. But I was told that is common in that hotel. I asked to be credited for my stay but I was told no they did not do that. I had pre paid for my 2 rooms ahead of time. From the looks of things they need people to visit the casino. The drive there was 600 miles round trip. The slots were were way too tight. Well, this was my last stay at the hotel and last visit to the casino. Very disappointed in the entire place including staff.

1 /5 Cm Gw2r: This place have went down hill the food is nasty but my mother wanted to come for her birthday. Let talk about the so call mexican now my parents are from Louisiana we know cajun food am from corpus christi tx as to some close to the border so I know mexican food. The waitress didnt know nothing about the food it was her first day so she call the manager in which she was w worst knew nothing about what they serve. I ask her what comes the she could tell me what came in the taco, mexican enchiladas, or the mexican boritos all the manger kept saying was beef only beef I told her I read very well I know that what the menu says but that not what all comes in a bonito. Receive my plate it was trash nothing on there was right first we had cold chips with hot salsa now you know it surpose to be hot chips cold salsa they didnt cook the corn tortilla for the enchiladas they just rolled the meat and sprinkle the cheese on top not melted or anything and we not going to talk about the bonito. I know how to spell bonito this phone keep changing the spelling for some reason. But moving along after talking to the manager again her excuse was that the restaurant is mexican with a cajun twisted because they serve steak , shrimp I could not stop laughing I said all mexican restaurant serve steak, shrimp and fish there is no twisted to it. I will never ever be back to this casino again.

5 /5 D S: We were just looking for a place to stay for the night as we were passing through. The room was very nice and the beds were comfortable. We dont gamble so it was nice to be able to hang out in the restaurants to pass the time. They have some nice Chitamacha displays, I had to look them up as were from Ojibwe country and I was unfamiliar. Interesting history of their people. Always enjoy learning more.
