5 /5 Jackson Johnson: Fantastic experience! Everything was perfect down to the finest detail. The cocktails are very unique and the food is fresh and delicious. The menu is unlike any other I’ve seen; they are dated so they rotate items and receive fresh and local products daily and to make it more special, they are sealed with a custom wax emblem of a heron. This place is one of Shreveport’s finest hidden gems and I’d highly recommend them especially for a date night or special occasion.

We started with the Sweet Sicilian mocktail—refreshing and flavorful with blood orange, ginseng, and nonalcoholic Prosecco. I enjoyed it so much, I ordered a second. The Caesar salad with eggplant croutons was a unique and delicious twist on the classic. Shrimp and grits came with a bold tomato-based sauce and creamy grits that melted in your mouth. The steak and whipped ricotta potatoes were packed with flavor, especially with the savory compound butter on top. For dessert, the Arancini rice pudding ball with candied pistachios was phenomenal—crispy, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. Highly recommend Herons for anyone seeking an elevated dining experience in Shreveport.

5 /5 Faith Venditti: I had the pleasure of dining at Heron in Shreveport, and it absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for a perfect evening, elegant, warmly lit, and romantically inviting without being too dark. The live piano music was the perfect touch, adding charm and sophistication without ever overpowering conversation. Truly a beautiful vibe. Now for the food!!! incredible!! I ordered the blistered carrots with goat cheese and the butternut squash risotto with added chicken, and every bite was rich, comforting, and beautifully balanced. The flavors were thoughtfully layered and executed with real finesse. My friends ordered the blue crab stuffed artichoke, and they couldn’t stop raving about it. The craft cocktails were another standout…creative, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. Overall, Heron impressed on every level: atmosphere, food, drinks, service, and ambiance. It’s the kind of place that elevates an evening into a memorable experience. I’ll absolutely be back the next time I’m in town. Highly recommend!
