Hibachi grill and buffet - West Monroe (LA)

5 /5 damein donald: First the upsides!! This place has the best fish i have ever seen at any Chinese buffet in my entire life and if you follow me on maps you know I eat at a lot of Chinese buffets! The fish here was light and fluffy, very moist and of high quality. All of the food was delicious. One thing I really love about this place was that it has a self seve soda fountain! I wish all buffets would adapt this feature to their restaurants. It just makes your life so much easier to just get another drink when you want one! The place is huge and has a whole lot of buffet tables full of food!! Very good Now for the down sides So we went in on Mothers Day and they were having an all day sea food buffet. It was 49.00 for two of us to eat. I was like oh well I love crab legs lets get it. I got 3 plates total while there and never got any crab legs. The crab leg pan was eternally empty. I was very disappointed because there is no way I would of paid 50.00 to eat if there was not going to be crab legs. I checked repeatedly and all that was in there were about 3 tiny little end legs. You know the ones on the far side of the crab. Yea it was disheartening. Also there is no structure on how to approach the buffet tables. What I mean is I waited in line to get to the food but people were coming from the other side of the table so I ended up waiting for them as well. All in all with all things considered I am happy with my purchase even if I didnt get crab legs because the quality of everything was far superior to other buffets I have eaten at and the self serve soda machine is a great touch. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It is by far the best Chinese buffet I have ever seen.

4 /5 Blue Thornhill: Lots of food. What you would expect from a buffet. Its not fancy but you will leave full. Not much service, but not much is needed at a buffet. You pay first so you dont have to wait when you are ready to leave. Drink is included in the reasonable price.

3 /5 Jeff Schmidt: From first appearance I thought this place would be good. After paying we found our own seats and dispensed our own drinks: something I’ve never done before in a buffet. The food looked appealing yet everything I tried just seemed a little off. The General Tso’s Chicken was mostly batter, the Hunan Beef was mostly vegetables and several other dishes tasted old though we were here at noon. We ate and departed. It was not the best or the worst place we ever dined at but next time we are in Monroe we’ll try another place.

5 /5 Kristian Tyson: Tried this place with a friend when our go to restuarant was closed. The food was great. Best chinese buffet I have had in a while. The food was hot and fresh. The general tso actually had spice , the honey chicken had flavor and wasnr just sweet , the orange chicken wasnt over powering and had flavor as well. The pork pen pen was amazing. They also had american food for picky eaters with pizza being the main thing I remember seeing and dinner rolls (those were also really good) the sushi that day wasnt the best but it was good and a regular told us it usjally is much better they were just having an off day. I will try it again. I cant wait to bring my family and see what they think. We usually eat Jades Garden and its been hit or miss lately.

5 /5 TERRA JOYCE: The food was tasty, and the place wasnt super loud. Nice relaxing atmosphere for Sunday dinner. When looking for places, i love variety. So this place was a good choice.
