2 /5 Jennifer Andersson: The ambiance was perfect. We had plenty of time to admire it while we waited for our server to greet us, which she eventually did. I ordered sweet tea, which it barely qualified. I asked to change my drink order to water and gave my tea to my son, who had also ordered tea, saying, "This will count as your refill."
We placed our order for food. I took the safe route with a patty melt. I mean, it looked really good in the picture. We waited a *really* long time without seeing our server, and I mean a REALLY long time.
When it did, though, the patty was 1) nothing like the picture because 2) it couldnt have been more than a quarter-inch thick and 3) not even a trace of an onion, which is one of the only 3 ingredients of a patty melt.
When the bill came, I asked about a military discount, which was applied. After that, though, I noticed that I had still been charged for the sweet tea, which, while I did not return the glass to the server, but gave it instead to my son to prevent him from needing a refill (which he would have needed during one of the long absences of our server), she was told by (?? Management ??) that because I originally ordered it, I need to pay for it.
I didnt want to bicker about it, so i just went ahead and paid for it, but I was definitely not happy. We should have left after sitting at the table without so much as a greeting within the first 5 minutes of sitting at the table. At least the decor is cute.
