1 /5 Shanon Collins: My wife and I were looking forward to this as overall it was well spoken of by people who had tried Olive Garden in other areas, but alas, it seems that it was not as good as people would lead us to believe.
Service: Let me start with the good and commend the service of both the restaurant staff and managers. Food and service was almost immediate which is usually a good thing, but therein lies the problem with the food (see Food section below)
Waitress 5/5: Waitress was amazing and helped us immediately. There were constant checkups on if we wanted more soup, salad or bread.
Manager 4/5: I am docking one point from the Managers because several of the runners and the waitress had different answers to the same question. Sounds like they need a bit more training, which is on the managers. (See food and drink sections respectively)
Runners 3/5: Had an issue where one of the runners decided to help when I had the call waitress button activated, which led to an unneeded issue to arise when the bill came.
Atmosphere: The place feels.... crowded... to put it into a single word. Maybe it is different when you are in a booth, but we were sat at a table and the constant back and forth running behind my wife and I led to it being a more pensive meal rather than a relaxing one.
Table area 1/5: The location of the tables where we were sat were very much in the way. It might make sense logistically, but the number of trays that I saw pass over my wifes head, a couple almost hitting her was enough for me to immediately hate the seating arrangement.
Noise level 1/5: The music is super loud in my personal opinion. This coupled with the tight grouping of seats leads to a very unappealing date night or quiet dinner.
Decor 3/5: Nothing really stuck out as interesting or something memorable.
Food: Unfortunately, this was the worst part of the experience. Food that should have made me think of Italian experiences and homemade dishes, instead reminded me of day old, reheated pasta and canned Progresso soup.
Stuffed Ziti 3/5: This was the best shared dish. It had great flavor and was served quickly. The issue is that it cools extremely fast which is weird as its supposed to be a fried item. Maybe we were just under the air conditioner.
Salad 1/5: The salad was oily, not cut up and not tossed. Pieces were oxidized and unappealing to look at. I understand that its an endless salad, but there is nothing worse than a salad that you have to eat one ingredient at a time. There also is no variety of salad. No Ceasar or House option.
Zuppa Toscana 3/5: This was actually pretty delicious for the first 30 seconds. While it was hot it was flavorful and enjoyable. Every second after the first 30, it was cold and began to take on a flavor that is reminiscent of soup that was left in the can, while it was heated up on the oven.
Minestrone Soup 1/5: This dish was disgusting. It had a metallic taste to it from the start and then somehow got worse as I attempted to eat it.
Breadsticks: 4/5: Hot = Awesome. Eat quick or youll be left with a mouthful of disappointment.
Breadstick Dip 3/5: The unlimited dip was an amazing deal. Make sure to order through your waiter though and dont let the runner change the sauce themselves or you will end up with 2 charges for the 2 different types (which is not how its portrayed on the menu). Again, the sauce cools very quickly which causes the flavor and texture of it to change into a not so good taste.
Chicken Tortellini Alfredo 1/5: If you like dry chicken on a somehow dry sauce (I know that sounds impossible yet somehow it describes it perfectly) then this is the dish for you. Bland and made by Im assuming someone with the spice sensitivity that thinks table pepper is spicy you get this dish! Ive never tasted an Alfredo that I did not find creamy until today. Would not recommend.
Overall, it was an unpleasant meal that left my wife and I dissatisfied.
