Elizabeth Peña I called to get a quote for an alignment on my truck. I was quoted $99.99, and then told it would be ~$120 after tax. I said the tax rate is NOT 20% & was told the rest was for "shop fees". Skeptical, I went anyway, on a Friday. I was asked the reason the truck needed an alignment & told the man that we had just replaced upper & lower control arms (with ball joints, but I didnt mention that detail) and outer tie rods on the front, both sides. I left the truck with them. They called me about a half-hour later & told me they couldnt do the alignment yet, because a wheel bearing on the right side had "slack" and needed to be replaced, and a sway bar link and the lower ball joint on the left were loose and needed to be tightened. The total for all work, including the alignment, would be $690.15. I said Id be retrieving my vehicle with no work done. I went back & they charged me $49.99 + tax for an "alignment check". I ended up paying $59.64, which included $4.25 of "miscellaneous shop supplies" and tax. I also saw that he had written some notes with prices for the work they said I "needed." When I tallied the numbers he had written down for parts + labor + alignment, the total was $592.71. I dont know and didnt ask how they got from $592.71 to $690.15. Just one more suspicious thing - Im sure there were "miscellaneous shop supplies" involved, in addition to sales tax. The following Monday, I took my truck to George Hauks Alignment shop & they did the alignment with no mention of loose or slack parts, and the charge was $89+ tax, which ended up being right at $100. Stay far, far away from Moores Tire and Service Center on 3rd Street. They may try to charge you for services and parts that you dont need. They certainly tried to do it to me! (All previous work was done by a mechanic we trust. He wouldve told us if a sway bar or wheel bearing needed work. Furthermore, the ball joint Moore Grant said needed tightening had JUST been installed by our trusted mechanic!)

Tony M. I recently took my truck to Mike’s upon the recommendation of a friend. I have a 2014 Ram 1500 that was running rough and missing. Mike promptly and accurately diagnosed the problem and fixed it. It turned out to be a major repair that required replacement of the crankshaft and lifters. Mike kept me informed throughout the process with photos and phone calls. His shop is clean and orderly with everything he needs to get the job done right. It is a family operated business with both his son and daughter working with him. Mike is a master mechanic and a super nice person that can and will get the job done timely and correctly.

Brussell Rosenthal Has worked on both of my vehicles. Fair prices, quality work, and honest along the way. Stands behind his work and takes on any size job... any make or model. When the dealership wanted to sell me a new motor, he took time to find the actual issue and fixed it in two days.

Michael Febus Amazing team!! They exceeded the standard for service and help with my car. They completed a full engine replacement on my 2016 Volkswagen & much more. Their communication is excellent! They even got me in contact with a tow service to get my vehicle safely to their shop. Timeliness on everything was exceptional. I highly recommend Freeman Auto Service to all! Andrew J Ive had nothing but an exceptional experience with Mick (correct me if im wrong) and his team. Im stationed at Fort Johnson, and they offered a great price to install my suspension and tires. Researching online, I found that a lot of shops have a hard time aligning my lift kit, but this place was able to get it dialed in perfectly. I highly recommend these guys if youre in the Fort Johnson area, its only an hour drive. Theyve definitely earned my business as I will be having my wifes suspension and tires installed here for her 2023 4runner. Thanks again guys.

To all the customers that get any work done here you got to remember things take time for this guys to get your stuff done, things aren’t going to be done as soon as you drop the vehicle or anything off. People that do things to right way take time. They did an alignment and put some 37s on my truck and I’m very happy with them. Here’s my truck before and after.

His tone, mannerisms, gestures, & attitude were noticeably pleasing. I would recommend this place to every single person I see if I could. This place deserves all the business. They work quickly, efficiently, and though busy and under pressure (customers everywhere, phones ringing etc) all of them handled everything with such ease and had just such a good flow. JaNae I would give zero stars if I could. I arrived at this tire shop right at 8 AM with a completely flat tire — literally the only customer there. You’d think with no other cars in sight, someone would acknowledge me quickly. Nope. I was there for over 15 minutes completely ignored while employees just walked around like I didn’t exist. I couldn’t even leave because of the flat, which made the whole situation even more frustrating. When they finally got to me, the service was ridiculously slow, with no sense of urgency whatsoever. This place clearly has no respect for people’s time. Won’t be coming back and I don’t recommend it to anyone looking for decent customer service.

Marcus This place was very helpful. The staff was friendly and explained everything I needed about my transmission, from the price to how long it would be in the shop. The owner himself spoke to me when I dropped the truck off. I highly recommend them when it comes to any transmission work.

Guide Me Took my truck here to get an oil light checked out. They claimed the rear main seal was leaking and the transmission needed to be replaced. When I got home I checked the seal and it was 100% intact. I changed the the oil sensor and fixed the issue. There is no shortage of companies like this out there that try to get over on you. ALWAYS get a second opinion.

Raymond Hamilton i am a regular customer and have bought many tires, have had brake jobs and oil changes for both my personal vehicles and my company vehicles. Today Saturday I came in to Jackson Street for an oil change and tire rotation at 0734 hrs. I was told by the lady it would be 2-2.5 hours and asked if I could leave it. I left my vehicle and returned at 1000 hrs. to discover my vehicle had not been moved and there was still another customer ahead of me. So I waited. My vehicle was taken back at 1016 hrs. and was finally completed at 1101 hrs. As a business owner I go by the following principle, “under promise and over produce”. If I know the job is gonna take 2 hours, I tell my customers it’s gonna take 3 hours (taking in consideration of stuff happening) so that when I get it done in 2 - 2.5 hours they are happy because I got it done faster for them. I pride myself on honesty and always get things done within the time frame I quote the customer. Just good business 101. It is much more positive to keep my word or even maybe a bit early for the customer in lieu of failing to keep my word. It seems these days the importance of honesty and positive customer service has taken a back seat.

gerald chelette George Hauke has by far one of the best automotive shops I’ve ever been to. He goes above and beyond, and even fixed my air-conditioner free of charge. But the last time I was there, I left with embarrassment and a feeling of shame. His wife told me to get pest control to my house because I obviously have a rodent problem that needs tending to as they chewed through the wiring of my BMW. There were a room full of people in there when she told me, they all judged me with their stares. I didn’t have it in me to tell them that the BMW belonged to my wife that passed away in 2011, I had it parked in a barn (not my house), and left it there to give to my daughter when she came to age to drive. The car still doesn’t drive, it sits in my driveway (rodent free), and I bought my daughter another car. I don’t even look at it much as my deceased wife’s car anymore, it’s now a constant reminder of my little girl’s broken heart, and a car I was made to feel ashamed of owning in a room full of people, yet I can’t bring myself to get rid of it. Thanks George for your compassion when I needed my AC fixed, I can just never bring myself to go there again, though I do recommend Haukes for everyone’s automotive needs.

Chris Natole First Choice offered to pickup and return my pristine 2003 Mach 1 for $1400 from Florida to Louisiana to have a rebuild of my lower rotating assembly. In addition to sending my transmission to another shop for synchro repair. James suggested that his shop could add a new clutch, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing and flywheel. It took nearly 8 months to complete and we agreed that these 2 things could be done for a budget of $8400 including the transit. James the owner only sent me 4 receipts in total for labor and invoices for the machine shop and transmission shop. Then without permission he charged me for Window repairs and alignment. Then without any receipt he refused to send the car back until I paid an additional $2300 and I had to pay a 3rd party transport company another $700 to get my car back. Once I received the car I immediately notice there was a bad vibration coming from the transmission. In addition my passenger side rear exhaust was not hung back in the normal condition. I took my car to an awesome transmission shop call A Plus Transmission near my home to have the transmission repaired. What they found is that First Choice mechanics did not know how to properly install a clutch which caused catastrophic failure of bearings, clutch and flywheel with less than 15 miles total on the vehicle since being returned. A Plus was able to repair all issues for $756 and the car runs like a champ. I wonder if I will get a refund or receipts for all the work. Probably not. So I would not recommend First Choice to anyone.

Christopher Pearson This has to be my favorite shops in town. They are honest and get the job done. I took my truck in during the holidays and he was able to still fix it just after Christmas. They kept me updated on the work, called me when they needed to order a part, called me when it came in and put it in and sent me home the day it arrived. They are friendly and knew a bunch of information about my truck before I even came into the shop. If your looking for the job done right, this is the place for you.
