Helen Malone I took my car in early Thursday morning because I had a tire that was leaking air. I wish I had gotten the young man’s name because he was so very nice, but I did not. He checked my tire immediately, found the leak, asked a couple of questions and I was off with my daughter. I told him I would be back in a few hours and left my keys with him. When I came back, my car was ready, I paid an extremely reasonable fee and am happy. I had read good reviews on Monroe Tire and went there and found the reviews to be accurate based on my experience. Great place, nice people, very reasonable. When I need tires, they will be the first place I will go to check prices!

Tim Lewis I was traveling from out of state and the AC system failed all of a sudden. I went to a shop in Ruston La, told them I was out of state and I needed someone to look at the car whenever they got a chance no rush at all. I could immediately tell by their body language and tone that they didn’t care at all. So I decided to say thank you sir and travel to next city. That’s when I googled and found Eazy Does it Auto Care Center! When I tell you from the moment I pulled into the gate of the business I was met with a smiling face from a woman that actually cared! Then came the owner’s son mid conversation and said “I heard you say you were driving and then??” From that moment on I knew they had it handled!! He looked at the car and explained to me what I needed I responded whatever I need just fix it please sir. He tried to tell me the price as I was already thinking astronomical numbers in my head because I’m from out of town. But, to my surprise the number was greater than 80 percent lower than what I was thinking!! I couldn’t believe it!! He diagnosed it!! He fixed it!! Got me going and when his father came over to talk to me! The way they both interacted with each other I begin to understand why they could and should be entrusted with our vehicles!! Lastly, every customer left with a smile and it reminded of something…. When mechanic has few cars on the yard sitting. He’s probably a good mechanic with fair prices. Therefore car don’t come to stay. They come to return home with the owners!! Take my word for it!! Go and see for yourselves!!

Caleb Wilkins In reply: This is not what I was told by the employee who answered your phone. I only agreed to pay because I was assured this would fix my A/C. So, are you stating that if I bring my car back in I will not be charged? Original review: Customer beware! Took my car here to have the AC repaired, cost was over $1,500 and AC still doesnt work. Also, while in their shop, they killed the battery and I had to pay to have it replaced. When I told them the AC still isnt working they said "Well, you can bring it back in and well see what we can do." I asked if there would be a charge and if they have a warranty on their work. Their answer; yes, there will be a charge. And my AC most likely broke because of something else. Dishonest.

Art ODell Went to get some CV axels replaced and left with our car making popping sound when accelerating or stopping. They said we needed new front-end brake pads. Had the brakes done and there was still a popping sound under the hood after we left. I decided to check their brake job when we got home and found the brake tank overfilled from where the brake calipers were compressed. Dang! Just dont go there!! They cant even do a simple brake job and who knows what kind of services the college folks are getting? Before and after pictures once we drained the overfilled brake fluid tank.

Rendy Gibbs Took my car to Ryan’s Chevrolet had it inspected was quoted a price for $1,100 dollars including the inspection.. they told me they can get me In and out after about 7 hours of holding my car they called to tell me they didn’t have the parts in stock so I picked up my car called up campus automotive an hour and half before closing these guys got me in and out fast! They also saved me about $600 bucks and did a magnificent job my car is riding smooth again. They’re going to be my go to guys from here on out! Let your next move be your best move!!!

Cee Bee Don’t ever bring your car here! These folks had my car 3 months and they didn’t fix a damn thing! They even trashed my car busted the windshield it was scratched up on both sides, it looked like they drove it wrecked and try to slap back together and they were supposed to just fix a oil leak but they claimed I needed a motor and it sound like a damn tractor when I got it back! It was all kind of stuff unhooked or not put back together under the hood.. the company I bought it from was paying for the repairs but these folks damaged this car so bad they gave me a whole new car! Oh yea they try to steal my speaker out the trunk I guess they couldn’t figure out how to unhook it.. so they just left it sitting on my backseat they pulled everything I had out and scattered on the backseat like they were rumbling in there looking for something to steal! This is the worst experience I ever had getting a car repaired and I’m glad I wasn’t paying because I surely would’ve been in jail! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!

Brian To The Max I had a pretty good experience with Northside Automotive. The previous shop, Mitchells, stole items from my car, kept saying "that was already like that", kept lying about everything, detailed my car even though I didnt ask but TOLD them not to, kept my car for a month and a half, caused me to get charged hundreds of dollars in rental fees, and did a poor job on my car. Northside completed the work in less than 2 days, seemingly didnt touch anything in my car, was willing to show me everything, didnt act inconvenienced at anything, didnt charge me for fixing a sensor, and did a good job. Every mechanic and mechanic minded person I spoke to said it was the lifters in my car. I even had 3 mechanics ride with me to listen to noises it made and they all said it was the lifters. One even used the stethoscope and said it was the lifters. Apparently, they were all wrong. It was the AC compressor and Northside fixed it quickly and efficiently. The reason I gave four stars is because I was kind of hoping they would check a little more and repair my hood release because it doesnt pop up since Mitchells "repaired" it and you have to dig it up to get to the lever and there is a tire pressure light that wont go off. The folks there are good people. I read other reviews and the people saying they are expensive are crazy. Theyre prices are very reasonable and I will return and advise others to go there.

From the moment I dropped off my vehicle, I knew it was in good hands. Clay, the owner, is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely cares about his customers. He took the time to explain everything in detail, kept me updated throughout the process, and had my Jeep running great again in one day no less ! ( I had an appointment) Every time we’ve needed help, they have come through with top-notch service, honest advice, and fair pricing. It’s so rare to find a shop you can trust these days, but Northside Automotive is that place. Whether its routine maintenance or more complicated repairs, they always go the extra mile. Highly recommend Clay and his crew to anyone in the Monroe area. If you need reliable, honest automotive work, Northside Automotive is the only place to go!

Don McDonald My 2009 Ford SportTrac Adrenalin recently developed a cracked engine block and I was in desperate need of a good mechanic to remove the old engine and install a "new" one economically because I had just recently purchased a new car for my wife and I didnt want to be in the position of paying for two new cars due to hers being totaled in an accident and my truck being out of commission as well! Plus, my truck is kind of unique and I wasnt quite ready to let it go! Dusty and his crew at Sheltons Automotive were recommended to me by another repair shop that couldnt fit me in and I dont regret contacting them at all! Dusty was up front and transparent in our initial conversation and after my engine arrived at his shop, they started on it immediately and had it repaired in less than a week. They even fixed an issue with my air conditioning and kept the overall cost at a minimum! So if youre looking for a dependable, reliable and honest shop for your car repair needs, you definitely wont go wrong choosing Dusty and Sheltons Automotive!
