2 /5 Hailey Leindecker: I went for a French gel x manicure and a pedicure. The only reason this review has 2 stars is because the pedicure was actually good (besides the color - but the color is more to blame on the manicure). I asked for a gel-x manicure with short almond tips, and was open to other options of gel x would not achieve this look, but she was already gluing nails on. There was glue all under my nails immediately, which I thought would be fixed. I asked if she was going to do my cuticles, which she said yes, but then never even touched. I thought she may do them later in the manicure but she never did. I verbalized that I did not like the berry red she picked (which I was never asked to look at my own colors), and she said she would do the color over black polish so it would be darker and she would show me. She had me put my hands in the light before showing me the final color, which I did not end up liking. The manicure was super thick and bulky, and uneven. Also, the gel x nails did not even match up to my cuticle line, and I asked if this would be hidden somehow, maybe buffed out, but never was. At the end when I asked her if she was going to get the glue from under my nails she said it would just come off but she would “clean it up a bit”. She barely cleaned anything up and I was deeply displeased with my nails. I ended up going to another salon to immediately get them redone. I usually never complain about a service, but I vocalized many things throughout the session and felt like they just kept going without fixing anything. I paid $140 for the service and even still tipped, despite knowing I was immediately going somewhere else to get this fixed. After my concerns being dismissed the whole service, I did not wan them to redo my nails regardless. But I want to spare someone else from this experience.
