5 /5 Sar Fouad: This hidden nail salon is the BEST in Nola! I’ve been here for three years and tried almost every single salon you can try and thought I found a good one until I had a bad experience on that second visit and thought maybe I’d just give a new spot a chance and I AM SO HAPPY I DID! G & T will be my forever salon!!!Their prices are on point- like it makes sense for the work you’re getting to be paying these great honest prices - not the outrageous money I’ve spend on nails monthly. I was told how much each nail would cost for a design UP FRONT not like other salons who make up a number just to over charge you. Notice how 90% of salons don’t have their real prices on the wall. So they can see how to charge each customer according to what they can get away with but at G & T, they were honest and did a fantastic job! I even got gems without charging me for the stones. Also when I walked in the door, someone wasn’t yelling or shouting WHAT ARE YOU GETTING TODAY in front of other customers. I never realized until coming to this salon how useless it is to ask and then when it’s finally my turn, they ask you AGAIN second time because they’re busy and can’t keep up, it’s redundant. But not at G & T, I was greeted only and was seated quietly like a pro! I LOVED it! Also gotta mention their chairs are sooo comfy! I’m not picky but I pay attention to the environment of every salon, since I fish out hella money on my nails monthly. I really hope this encourages others to get serious about their nail salons and give themselves a chance at this salon. I was really hesitant writing this because I know it could encourage others to go and lead them to be more busy when I go but hey, I really think the world of this husband and wife duo who seem so humble and work so well. Best of all, you don’t hear them talking in their language about you like in EVERY salon I’ve tried in this city and every city around the country, smh! Go give them a try for real!
