    5 /5 Hailey H: This tour was a highlight of my trip! I came because I was interested in shooting locations from AMC’s Interview with the Vampire and in local history and architecture. The tour was detailed and fascinating, and my tour guide was clearly extremely knowledgeable—I felt open to ask many questions and got great answers in return! Gallier being an architect and designing his house to be on the cutting edge for the time and testing out his own inventions to manage the climate (such as various ventilation systems) made for a unique historical and architectural experience. The set up of the tour and the way you’re brought through how the family lived day to day also made for a cool experience—I felt like I could really visualize what their lives were like in a way that you just can’t at a traditional museum. Fantastic tour and great value! Highly recommend.

Our tour guide was Peter and he was absolutely fantastic - incredibly knowledgeable and patient with the groups many questions. Great delivery and was factual yet sensitive around the harder historical aspects of slavery. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Our tour guide, Judith, was just incredible: I and my two friends were the only ones to arrive for the early Sunday morning tour, and she really took the time to connect with each of us to tailor the tour to our interests. The Gallier home is gorgeously maintained, they don’t sugarcoat the realities of slavery in the area, and we learned so much! 10/10 for the location itself, and 100/10 for Judith!

    Tina Ugas: The French Market was an excellent place to visit while visiting New Orleans. It was loaded with fascinating items, food, and flea market delights. There was food and a band playing; there was overhead covering so it was comfortable to walk in during the heat, and there was a dining area and a bar. I would highly suggest visiting when you go to New Orleans.

    Sara Bryant: The instructor of the tour didnt even entertain Marie laveaus tomb which honestly I know most of the customers on the tour thats all we wanted to know or talk about to learn more facts but he was more interested in telling us about him and his family buried in that cemetery. Boring

    Eric Cesare: This might be one of the best historical tours Ive ever had. Guide Katie was an outstanding source of information, ready and able to answer any question asked. Its a true skill to offer the right amount of details without over-communicating and to provide a factual account of the events with awareness and sensitivity to different levels of social and emotional awareness. I got so much more out of the tour than expected, with guest questions leading us into discussion of a variety of extra topics. The house and grounds are well-preserved and arranged with true historical pieces and covered nearly the whole of the property. The price was very fair and if you have interest in visiting their other site - Gallier - you can get a discount on admission (works in reverse as well). Just show your receipt when you purchase admission to the other one. Katie also generously offered me a little extra of her time after the tour to discuss additional perspectives and have an excellent local food recommendation. I was so pleased I called the next day they were open to say thank you again! If you have any interest in the history of New Orleans and the truth about our countrys past, do not miss this stop during your visit!!

When we arrived everything was easy to understand and it was organized..The drinks at the bar before boarding were cheap. The covered boat was comfortable and smooth. The host was funny and knowledgeable. We saw 3 alligators even though this time of year its not promising..Our family will book this tour again.

    Molly Mendez: Great little museum with fantastic exhibits. Sysinctly lays out the history of New Orleans and the red light district. It covers everything from early settlers to the north of jazz. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Really lovely stop!

    Eloise J. Li: Beautifully furnished. Only worth going to if you have extra time. I recommend visiting the historic homes that give hourly tours with guides first. The slave quarter rooms are closed and just let you peek in. There were no speakers with audio playing when I visited
