Kailey Bittola: Nice park. The greater Baton Rouge state fair was hosted there this year (2023). I went on Thursday around 5:30pm. Nicely organized fair. The parking was free and people were directed where to park. Lots of ticket booths, they accept credit cards with $2 fee. The food was very expensive $12 little bowl of loaded fries, $6 slices of thin pizza, $14 chicken tender on a stick, $17 turkey legs. $8 sodas in a cup with $3 refills. Anyway, besides that it was fun! Enough people at the gates to assist, good amount of police on the grounds.

Andrea F: This is listed as a museum on the Google Maps, the link to the website leads to itineraries through the National Park Service. The information signs state that the buildings were built in 1819 and could house 1000 troops. In the 1880s, it was given to Louisiana State University and used as dormitories. They are now registered on the Historic Landmarks and are used by the Louisiana State Government. The grounds are lovely, and the buildings are well maintained.

Chelsie Hebert: Super cool. Volunteers manning the telescopes are very knowledgeable with the locating and explaining. Inside staff could definitely be more polite, but supposedly was one of their busiest nights so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
