Audubon Zoo - New Orleans Sarah Goodwin: This zoo was the best zoo either of us had ever been to. Im not a huge zoo enthusiast so maybe Im just unaware but this was the first zoo that had so many open enclosures in that you could view these amazing animals and get great photos without having to do so between bars. Big cats were mostly caged but other animals had space where they could be viewed without obstructions. We were also able to view animals we have never seen living on the west side of the United States. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. Definitely recommend! Its helpful to note that the zoo is a few miles away from the aquarium!
New Orleans Airboat Tours, LLC - Marrero Matt Markl: What an amazing day! Captain Randy was an amazing guide and this experience would’ve been nothing if it wasn’t for his knowledge and passion for where he lives and what he does. As someone who grew up fishing and exploring on the Texas coast and grew up with a love of where I came from, I was blown away by what I learned. The swamps and wetlands are a beautiful, raw treasure that must be protected at all costs. Truly a life-changing and eye opening adventure. Randy’s explanations of the nutria rat and the impact on the land was phenomenal! I can’t recommend New Orleans Airboat Tours enough. Thank you for a truly life changing boat ride. We can’t wait to come back in the fall and experience a completely different tour. Thank you so much for what y’all do!
New Orleans City Park - Sebastian F.: Went during Christmas week and its was simply such a beautiful place and amazing time. Lots of fun rides for both, adults and children and a great atmosphere. Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting NOLA during the holidays season.
Louis Armstrong Park - New Orleans Workin Vacation: It is so beautiful here, very quiet and peaceful full of flowers and ducks and so much nature, a great place to get away from the cement jungle and sit back reading a book, or just relax and soak in the sunshine. Take a break, you deserve it.
Woldenberg Park - New Orleans Andrew Keaveney: Beautiful park set on the edge of the river. From there, you can watch the boats float by and the sunrise ripple on the water. The place is quiet in the early morning with just a few joggers and walkers. A nice stretch of riverwalk lets you stroll for quite a while, and the whole area is pretty clean and cared for. If you go further north/east along the water, you can find some beautiful murals. All in all, sunrise there was one of my favorite parts of a day in New Orleans.
Tree of Life - New Orleans Maureen Hope Norton: lovely place to visit, and see how much life can thrive when we let it. I would recommend taking your time to fully enjoy the beauty and strength of this tree of life. we also came across some mini tombs hidden in the park area as we were walking which was a whimsical bonus. Easy free parking all up and down the main tree of life area, even if you choose not to walk the whole park.
Audubon Insectarium - New Orleans Tracy Wise: It was very crowded. The butterfly exhibit is the best thing about the insectarium. There isnt a whole lot to look at other than the butterflies. You can eat crickets on a cookie and ranch and Cajun flavored ones as well.
Jackson Square - Heather & Scott Barkell: Both weekends we visited there was lots going on in the area and the entrances are closed off to allow for artists, vendors and performers. The French Quarter festival was next level with people picnicking on the lawn listening to all the music. There food stalls and restaurants around the square.
Visit New Orleans - New Orleans Joe Kelley: Paid for parking 56,dollars and had recipe on my phone, walked around and had a great time until returning to my vehicle, every out of state car had a boot on it, called Admiral Enforcement, they dont care about your recipe for payment, I had to pay a additional 147 dollars to get the boot removed. A scam on parking there be careful
