2 /5 Pepper Roussel: Murphy was my dentist before I moved away in May 2023. I had been returning to the area quarterly so it was easier for me to remain as a patient and just schedule for when Im in town. Since May 2024, my situation changed meaning I am no longer back as often. However, I have chosen not to change the service to where I live. Since I was last here in November 2023, they have added a fleet of hygienists, another dentist, and downsized the front desk from 3 to 1. Its not all good. My main complaint is as a cash customer, I was sure to *confirm* the cost of a cleaning both with the receptionist before the appointment was made and with the hygienist before the x-rays began. That cost was $149. Post x-rays, the hygienist brought in the dentist to tell me that, based on the x-rays, I would need an in-depth cleaning (a paraphrase) and a filling replacement. That cost would be $1503. No cleaning later, at check out somehow the x-rays and the "dental consult" to deliver the news was $146. So unless I can get a full cleaning for $3, the math is not mathing. Meanwhile, the front desk clerk could only tell me that she was sorry I got bad information and her manager was unavailable to talk with me.
