4 /5 Marcus Burrell: Huge fenced in park. Lots to do for children and plenty of options. Swings, slides, rock climbs, and ropes. Definitely worth the trip from the city if you need a new and exciting park for your kids. Some of the padded ground is busted up under one of the slides so just be careful in that spot. Shaded areas and seating with benches also. Thumbs up for sure!

1 /5 BJ (That_HikingViking!): They build things and dont keep them up. The park is falling apart. A huge hole in the so-called rock water feature that a child could fall in easily. Whoever is over the park should reevaluate their game plan on upkeep.

5 /5 Lindley Davis: Absolutely beautiful Park. Lots of gazebos and personal space areas surrounding a duck pond. There is a skate park that appears to be pretty well kept up, and the people there seem to be nice. Very quiet and not full of a bunch of undesirables... Especially considering its proximity to a Walmart.

5 /5 Arkady Acosta: Good park. Great for families, couples and individuals. 2 playgrounds. Different sets of swings. Picnic tables. Workout equipment. Skateboarding/bmx area. Bathrooms. Pond with ducks, geese and other animals that you can feed. Multiple large grass areas. Always clean.

St. Bernard State Park - Braithwaite

anika baker: We stayed at St. Bernard State Park in Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans, and it was such a peaceful and beautiful park. We had electric and water hookups, no sewer, but there was a dumping station. We originally planned to stay for 2 weeks during Christmas but then asked if we could stay an additional week to further experience New Orleans during New Years. They were very accommodating and allowed us to move spots the last week and enjoy the area a little longer. The drive to New Orleans wasn’t bad either, and it was nice to be out of the city! We had a little pop-up gazebo set up outside and spent time outside every night. Such an amazing experience! I would highly recommend it if you are wanting to visit the area. Super peaceful, quiet, and reasonably priced!

Clouet Gardens - New Orleans

Louis and Elaine: I just happened upon the Clouet Gardens and my first impression was Wow. This is a really nice area, shady, tranquil and very nicely done. To have such a special spot in a neighborhood is really great. I was there on a Monday and was the only one there. The grounds are well maintained with ample seating and lots of things to see. Great job!

Woodlands Conservancy’s Woodlands Trail - Belle Chasse

Mitchell Dunbar: The trail is completely overgrown. If it wasnt for All trails, I would have gotten lost. This is not a hiking trail. The people who manage this "trail" should be embarrassed. They have no idea what theyre doing. If you dont know how to properly manage a hiking trail, then at least post warning signs so people know what to expect. I have never experienced anything like this in my 10+ years of hiking experience.

Westbank Bridge Park - Luling

Lora Lopez: Went to the Alligator Festival on Sunday. Great atmosphere, good music, lots of food, rides and shopping. Found some great stuff by local dealers, including a knife shop that the guy does all his own work they were fantastic. I included his business banner in the pics.

Homeplace Plantation - Hahnville

Victoria Farrar: So very sad to see this beautiful home falling apart. I read that it’s owned by a 93 year old man who can’t keep it up. I wish he would just donate it to a historical society and let it get repaired and preserved. I guess around here these houses are more common, so people are not that concerned.

Destrehan Plantation - Destrehan

We had a guided tour in the main house, and then you were free to walk around and see the other buildings in the plantation. The trees were so magical. The installation of furniture and everything was lovely. Would love to return again.

Tracy Vanlandingham: Great fun for a great price. We look forward to going again next year at the new location in Zachary. This was our first year going and it was a good clean environment and the staff were super nice.

St. Joseph Plantation and Felicity Plantation - Vacherie

Tom McCreary: St Joseph is a great plantation to visit. Mike gave me an excellent and informative tour. I learned about the families that lived there and about the house and about sugar growing and processing. Both the interior and the exterior of the house are very well preserved and kept up. The grounds are also well kept up and there are several old original buildings. The furnishings are old and from what I was told, several are original to the house. I have been to several of the plantations in the area, and this is my favorite, and no crowd from tour busses. I was on a tight schedule, so I was not able to see the interior of the Felicity Plantation, but I was able to tour the grounds. Felicity is another nice plantation with interesting grounds.
