  • What Clients Are Saying about Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden (on GG)
5 /5 Frank Biermann: Pretty sweet spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a little while. We hopped on the streetcar from Canal and after a short 20-30 min ride we were enjoying the greenery in this free sculpture garden. Theres a bunch of sculptures to view and take photos with, loads of odd paths going over, under, and around. It was overall a great change of pace from the rest of the city and we felt like we were able to relax. Apparently this garden was just a small portion of the entire park, which we wish we had more time to explore.
5 /5 Malcolm Earhart: Cool free sculpture garden. It was bigger than I thought, we didnt make it through the whole park. It was cold and rainy so that didnt help. I got to play the local taking my tourist friends to things I hadnt been to. The grounds was as varied as the artwork. Looked like they were setting up a stage for some new event or display. I would come back in better weather.
5 /5 J M: Fantastic collection of sculptures. Some styles and mediums were abstract representational, true representational, bronze, plexiglass I think?, stainless steel, and more. The gardens were great too. Free admission! Great place to get some inspiration or just a nature walk in for the day.
5 /5 Cecile H: Delightful Escape in New Orleans This sculpture park is a gem! The sculpture area is beautifully curated, with stunning pieces that blend seamlessly into the tranquil surroundings. The peaceful paths provide a perfect setting for a relaxing stroll, allowing you to take in art and nature at your own pace. Highly recommend this serene spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a bit of culture in New Orleans.
5 /5 Ivan Lee: Went on a Monday, barely anyone in the garden. Much larger than expected, around two hours to finish seeing everything. The design of the garden is very unique and had a great time seeing everything with my family. A must see if you’re in the area.

  • Confetti Park - New Orleans
    Confetti Park
Louis and Elaine: Confetti Park is a really cool little park. Not only is it very attractive it is well stocked with fun things for the young ones to use. Unfortunately we have had a week of heavy rain and rain the day we visited. This caused a fair amount of mud which is inevitable in a grass park. This is a really fun looking place that young people can enjoy.
    Goldfish Island -
    Goldfish Island
Louis and Elaine: The Goldfish Island is a very small island in a pond in City Park. One small bridge is available to cross onto the island. While very attractive the bridge is very hard to walk across, due to the large jagged stones from which it is made. Not much on the island but an interesting feature in the park.

Aneesha Mishra: We had a lot of fun with Carnival Heist. The gameplay was really smooth, and starting in different rooms was a lot of fun. We thought it could’ve maybe been a bit harder—we escaped with plenty of time to spare without needing hints—but we did pick the room with the highest success rate so that makes sense. I would definitely come back here again to try another room!

    Duelling Oak - New Orleans
    Duelling Oak
Louis and Elaine: The dueling oaks (now oak) in New Orleans City Park is an area of mystery hard to understand in today’s context. At the time of dueling a person’s honor was precious and closely tied to trust and their ability to prosper. Once outlawed in the city, duelist would often come to this spot for their affairs of honor. Many people have loss their lives in this spot over their honor. The remaining oak is about 300 years old and a lovely sight.

Naomi Sprung: There were a lot of people waiting, so we finally gave up. But they did seem to have a lot of brochures and we would have wanted to ask about a swamp boat ride and also a horse or mule ride. But we didn’t want to waste our day waiting.

Nola Pedal Barge - Swamp Tour Party Boat
Gracie Lien: The tour exceeded my expectations. From the second we stepped onto the property, before getting on the boat, the staff was friendly and inviting. Our crew included captain Eddy and Julian as the deck hand. They were the perfect balance of professional and fun. We enjoyed the sites of the bayou, interacting with the gators, and hearing facts about the area. Thank you for the fun time! An experience I will never forget.
Backstreet Cultural Museum - New Orleans
    Backstreet Cultural Museum
Wayne B: This was the highlight of my New Orleans visit!!! I loved learning about the Culture of the Black Indians of New Orleans. Learning about the process of creating the regalia and how much detail goes into it first hand from those of the culture like Brother Horace & OohLaLa was amazing. Staff highly knowledgeable and the collection is beautiful. Highly Recommended for anybody that wants to know about the real culture of New Orleans.
