Phylicia “Fefe” Very disappointed with service of a quick gel polish the tech messed my nails up and proceed to redo them but was completely lazy about it. The nail shop was not really busy, however I felt rushed.I only stopped at this nail shop because it was close and I needed a polish change for the concert. This picture is from Tuesday 3 days after getting them done. This is so disappointing.

kristen ragus I paid 55 dollars for THE WORST dip I have ever gotten. The nail tech was obviously inexperienced. I would not waste my money at this place again. I sat for almost 2 hours for the worst service. I shouldn’t have had to pay. This place is a rip off. BEWARE.

Allison Wicks I’m not one to leave negative reviews or to judge a places based on their negative reviews really, but I should’ve trusted the low rating on this place. They were able to take me as a walk in on a Saturday morning which is awesome but everything else about my experience there was pretty crappy. The guy who did my mani/pedi seemed nice enough but he pretty much spent the entire time laughing and joking with everyone else who worked there the entire time. At one point a girl sitting behind him nudged him pretty forcefully and he jerked my hand. I didnt make a big deal of it but they definitely made me feel extremely uncomfortable. For the $115 I was charged, I shouldn’t have to come home and scrape the gel nail polish off the sides of my nails and from the side of my foot. At this point I should’ve known better than to trust anyone there to do my brows but I was already there and had spent so much time and money. I asked the girl who did my brows to just clean them up and to please leave them thick and arched. She did leave them thick but she completely removed my arches and they are now uneven. Steer clear of this place!

Bianca Cires My mother reached out to find someone to do her makeup for my brother’s wedding. This company was recommended by our hotel..she reached out via email and got a response initially but when it came to asking to see what kind of makeup they do and she sent some photos of what she wanted done, they ghosted her. Very unprofessional. I saw the photos, it wasn’t anything complicated and it was just for her. I guess they don’t want business. Lazy work.

Shayla S First time here , came in from NYC, my sister in law booked the frist time client for me and it was up to par. Such a lovely place, loved the decor of the shop! the nail art was great! Artist was such nice and handled my nails with care. Two weeks later and my nails still look good. The base color she place was so when my nail grow its not as noticeable. Love it !!

Christina Hall This is my go to nail place for the total spa experience. I am usually a walk-in because I never know with scheduling when I can make it, but theres never a long wait. The services are quick and the team is efficient and friendly. They also provide beverages while being serviced and its a nice bonus!

Roz Brown I go to this salon regularly. Jen does the best pedicure ever! The red wine is always good and chilled. I live in Slidell but its worth the ride to New Orleans East.

Crystal Lockett $50 for a gel manicure plus tip, and it chipped off on the second day because the technician decided to break the seal by filing my finished nails. Would not recommend.

Monique S Update: switched over to acrylic layer over my own nails this time. Simple French design this time along with a pedi. Nice, clean salon, conveniently located. They did a good job on my SNS nails and a pedicure.

Chugar Rush Beware Came in for Halloween, they sat me quickly and started to fast, didnt give me enough options after I explained what I was wanting and they clearly didnt have the color. I dont know if he was the owner or just a nail tech but he was very rude with his facial expressions & attitude. I didnt like my nails at all and he charged me $85 they look like press ons but I cant take them off that easly, of course he wasnt getting a tip and I wish I would have just painted my own nails before I left home. Do not go to this place!

Eva Rippel Magazine nails is the best salon in New Orleans hands down. They do the best designs and have the best customer service. Celina is a young mother who owns the salon with her sister. They are the sweetest people in the world. I will be bringing everyone and their mother to this salon. 10/10.

Alexas B This salon is under new management and they are all such a bright light and true perfectionist! Celina is my girl! I’ve been going to her for a little over 2 years and i’ve always told her…where ever she goes, I will follow her! And I did just that! Her kindness, promptness, and attention to detail are all exceptional. As someone who is very particular about my nails - she always executes the vision perfectly. And even when I have no clue as to what I want…she gives me something I’d have chosen myself! Love this salon and love me some Celina! The salon is super clean, the music is always on point, and a truly chill vibe. 10/10 recommend!

Kathryn Shrout Nail salon has been under new management since June 2024! Celine has done my nails for almost three years now and does a fantastic job. She’s great with shaping and nail art. The prices are very competitive for the area. The space is clean, bright and welcoming. I love that they take appointments — they’re always on time! Would recommend to anyone looking for nail care.

Zen Tatts Felt rushed. Nails are different shapes and lengths. My toenails were cut any kind of way and I paid for the 30 pedi. I still have acrylic left under nails. This will be my first and last time going to this salon.

Markirah Lee If I could give 0 stars I would. It looks like a kid did my nails. There’s small bubbles in every finger but this is supposed to be “Gel” polish. My diamond turned into clear spheres under the UV light! They are very lumpy un even and tacky. The chubby guy did my nails and played around the whole time. The young girl who did my eye brows waxed the front of my eyebrow off!! I mean I have a half of eyebrow now! And she waxed the tips off! She didn’t even acknowledge the fact that she messed up she said done and went about her way! I cannot believe my experience today!

Beata Mirowicz I absolutely adored this place. I was a little put off by the exterior and a few bad reviews but they really know what they are doing. I did a simple dip and tip with my sister and Im in love. They are not very talkative so if you go for the chit chat then this might not be for you but the skill is a 10/10. The interior is beautiful and clean. I did get hit by the drill but that can happen to anyone and Im pretty sure I moved anyway. I would absolutely go again everything was amazing.

Christina Henry I was referred to Cindy’s by a local while I was on my birthday trip last week. My nails grow pretty fast but I usually can keep a gel manicure for 2 weeks before I need to take them off. My gel manicure from Cindy’s lasted about 5 days before I noticed air bubbles. Today, day 7, two nails came off. While they looked really nice for the first few days, that was probably the worst quality gel manicure I’ve ever gotten. When your regular pedicure lasts longer than a gel manicure, you’ve got a serious quality problem.

Adeline ripped off my acrylics causing my nails to have hangnails, break, and bleed. they were very slow on my nails and couldn’t do a basic polk a dot design. good pedicure, though.

Jesmi Andino This is my second time at this salon and I’m never switching!! First of all, this is the cutest and quietest salon I’ve ever been to and the workers are so sweet. Their prices are very fair for the quality. I got a gel pedicure and a gel full set with design and I was done within 1 hour! They are so fast and talented I recommend this salon to everyone!!

ani the retention on my dips always last 3-4 weeks. i’m a picky person when it comes to shaping and round cuticles but they got it down! can’t get my nails done anywhere else now

Nina Haug I pretty much never leave reviews, but this is honestly one of the worst manicures I’ve ever gotten. It looks fine from a distance, so I didn’t notice until I was on the way home, but the tip of every single nail (the part that’s colored in the French tip) is wrinkled/bumpy. The thumbnail is particularly bad, because the wrinkles/bumps go down to the rest of the nail too. I’m probably going to have to go somewhere else and have them redo the nails. I also had bits of polish on my fingers. Just really disappointing for the price. UPDATE: I went back after the salon replied and they did a great job fixing them! Zero bumps, wrinkles, or bubbles, and the nails are all the same shape. Hopefully the earlier issues were just a one-off!

Paige Bryan I absolutely love Blanc Beauty Bar. It is the most clean, relaxing, calm and fume-free nail bar. The technicians are not just talented but they are kind, friendly and give fantastic massages which is such a bonus. I used to go to the one in the CBD and just moved back uptown around the corner and cannot wait to have Blanc uptown be my neighborhood nail salon!

Sheila Kohler I visited Evas Nail Salon today because it was within walking distance from our hotel on Camp Street. I was stressed from getting packed for the cruise and because I had discovered the night before a bottle of red wine had shattered and gotten all over some of my outfits, but luckily all the red wine came out!! I walked in at around 2:30 pm on April 23 and and Mrs. Jenifer gladly said she had time to do my pedicure. She was very kind and patient with my choosing a nail color, she offered to let me see how different colors of pink would look and I appreciate it so much because I hadnt gotten any sleep and I was still exhausted from the night before scrubbing all the red wine out of my clothes! Jenifers service was very professional and mindful. She even shared with me some of her worldly travels! I recommend Jenifers service when needing a pedicure at Evas Nail Salon!

Alison Osorio Fascinated, delighted. Do you want really beautiful nails? Go to Eva Salon. I had doubts because of the bad reviews, but I still wanted to find out for myself and I left very satisfied. Good service, good work, and the girls are very kind, cheerful, and they all adapt to what you are looking for. If you really want good service and a fun, pleasant, and relaxed time, I recommend it. Dont be fooled by other bad reviews. Go and discover for yourself the fantastic experience you will receive when getting your nails and pedicure done. Of course, I will return when I return to the city of New Orleans.

J R Super disappointing. Pictures of both me and my friend. The workers were sweet but the quality of the work was not it. I scheduled an appointment for GelX and when I got there I was informed no one there could do GelX. There was no cuticle work done. My nails were painted 4 days ago and look 2 weeks ago! Polish was not brought far enough down at all and no cuticle care. My friend’s nails are horrendous!!! She needed a hard gel fill. Photos speak for themselves. Just sloppy work!

Alyssa Schell I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I asked for dip powder but she brought out black acrylic powder. I said no I want dip, acrylic has ruined my nails and she confirmed it was dip, but it wasnt. My nails feel heavy like they do when I have acrylic on. She cut 3 different fingers with her nail file to the point of bleeding. As she was wrapping up, she smoothed the nail with the Dremel, then went back in after it was smoothed with the buffer attachment to buff my nails after they were already smooth. Then she started doing top coats - with my nails completely scuffed up and not smooth - and I said why are the nails buffed, they need to be smooth before you put on the top coat - why Im telling her now to do her job, god only knows - so she said no the top coat will make them smooth....so now my nails are buffed to hell with streaks all over BUT they are locked in and smoothed with a top coat...they look horrible. She then put cuticle oil over, and I realized she was done?! I said do you not see all these buff marks all over the nail? Its not supposed to be like this, it looks awful, so she said she could start over, as if I have time to sit in this gross salon for another hour. DO NOT go here, youre better off going to Lashe or LA Nails in midcity. I also heard them racking up fees to the other woman in the salon and said her pedicure would be over $100.

Simone Cifuentes I was so happy with how my nails came out I did a little photo shoot. I brought some pics from instagram for some festive Halloween themed nails and boy did my nail tech deliver. I did gel polish early at the end of September and I had no chips for a month. Happy Halloween. Love this spot.

M B Okay this nail spot is awesome. My first time coming in they were closing and stayed open longer for me to get my feet done. The family was so kind and personable too. I will go out of my way just to come here every time!!! My toe polish stayed on nice and long too

Brandy Nicole I discovered Blanc Beauty Bar after moving home to New Orleans last year. They are my absolute gem. The only salon I will go to. They listen, care and are very understanding. Every tech is absolutely amazing. Mai and Sarah do the prettiest designs as well. The quality is great and my nails and pedicures always last! The environment is relaxing as well as it is appointment only so for my people with anxiety this is the place for you!
