1 /5 Devin White: I scheduled an appointment with Janell nearly two months ago for permanent anklets as a Mother’s Day gift. The appointment was confirmed for 5/3 at noon. We had already picked out our chains and Janell had engraved stainless steel charms for us. Leading up to the appointment, we exchanged numerous messages through their online site and via text.
On the day of the appointment, we were in the area early and decided to stop by when the jewelry store opened at 10 a.m. to see if we could be serviced sooner. I messaged Janell to let her know we were there and rang the doorbell several times over a 10–15 minute period with no response. A sign on the door said the store was closed from 5/1 to 5/3. I sent a photo of the sign to Janell and waited for a reply.
While waiting, I called every jeweler in the area and luckily found someone else who could help us just after noon. Janell finally replied at 11:39 a.m. saying she was there and working in the back. I did not respond.
I understand my appointment was at noon, but Janell’s instructions were clear: ring the doorbell upon arrival and ask for her. This wasnt the first red flag—there were several times I had to follow up on messages she didn’t respond to. Despite my doubts, I gave them a chance. We drove over 40 minutes for this appointment, and the lack of communication and professionalism was extremely disappointing. I’ve since heard from others who’ve had similar experiences.
I would not recommend this business and will not return. Very poor customer service.
