1 /5 S S: A young staff member working the front of the store was extremely rude to a Cajun French speaking customer with cultural-linguistic differences who had a simple, question about clases offered. I will never return due to this cold, insensitive behavior towards people of our culture. Didn’t even attempt eye contact and this person left feeling less than. Sorry to have witnessed this display of incompetence, there were other staff members with excellent social skills.

4 /5 Victoria Parnell: The shop is beautiful! The staff are so knowledgeable and kind. Though the pricing is really tough. We went to make a DIY bead necklace/ bracelet, and the bead prices were somewhat reasonable but the service charge of $15 per person to close the jewelry is honestly too much. I’d understand $5 but anything over that seems unfair especially since a latch is not included in the price. Love that they are local! Though this is a pricy activity.

5 /5 aimee basham: What a special place! They helped me with a very special repair on an antique necklace that had come unstrung. I had all the beads in a box for years until a friend told me about the Bead Shop. Sarah was so helpful! She took the time to consult with me to rebuild the necklace (with missing beads) AND gave me the confidence to restring it myself. It was truly a spiritual experience and meant the world to see it back together. Thanks to everyone at the bead shop! I hope this place stays around for a very long time!! Such a gem!!

5 /5 Jenna Dove: This is a must do in New Orleans. The employees here were wonderful and I left extremely happy with a beautiful charm necklace. During my appt, I was starting to feel a little dizzy (from the NOLA heat and walking on Magazine all day!) and they rushed to get me some water. I was feeling better in no time. I really appreciate the care and time they take with every single customer. Thank you!!!

We booked an off-site jewelry-making party for my bachelorette trip in New Orleans, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the whole weekend! The setup was incredibly easy—The Bead Shop team took care of everything, making the whole process seamless and stress-free. There were so many options to choose from—different chain styles, materials, and an amazing variety of charms. Everyone in our group was able to create something totally unique, and we’ve all received so many compliments on our custom necklaces since! Georgia was also incredibly kind and helpful, even giving us great recommendations for food and activities around the city, which was perfect since it was our first time in NOLA. Can’t recommend The Bead Shop enough! If youre looking for a fun, creative, and memorable group activity, this is it.
