Shaneda Armstrong I wish I could give this place zero stars. I’m very disappointed. People please watch out for mechanics likes this. I spent for manifold being cracked and ordered the catalytic converter manifold and o2sensors. Just to find out it was never fixed. And paid for my own parts and almost $800 in labor. This is wrong. And then they told me I needed spark plugs and I got that done. They turned around and said my motor was bad and wasn’t. Y’all I am planning to file suit please watch out for people like this. It’s sad when you trusting people with your vehicle. Pay and still don’t get it fixed.

Dee Marti Wouldn’t even give them one star. They did some work on my truck and after a week of them telling me it would be ready today I finally got it back only to have the repairs leaking. They avoided me when I tried to get it taken care of and after two weeks the owner called and aggressively informed me to bring it in if I wanted it fixed. I told him I didn’t trust his shop to do the work and wanted at least a partial refund. Afterall it is part of their service pledge and warranty to take care of it. I was told that was not how it worked I could bring it back to get fixed. When I asked to speak to the other owner his wife he told me he didn’t care what she said he would over ride her. I was not getting any of my money back. Then he basically just told me he was done with the call and hung up. I feel at least a partial refund is acceptable to ask for since I do still need to repair my truck.

Carlos Perez While visiting the area, I needed someone to service my truck’s air conditioning. Floyd and his mechanics were able to fit me in early in the AM, and did an excellent job at a very fair price. Thomas Derouen Owner and staff were extremely rude from the moment I dropped off my vehicle to them. Anytime I called to check on it, I was met with more rudeness. When I picked my truck back up, I discovered that my truck was left unlocked by the mechanic(s) and a bunch of things were stolen out of my truck. When I told Floyd about this, he met me with more rudeness and automatically dodged any possibility of him being responsible. Would strongly suggest potential customers taking their business elsewhere.

T.J. Carinhas Dropped my truck off on Sunday evening and they started on it Monday morning. I recieved a call on Monday morning telling me that they had my keys and it was on the rack. Today I received a call at 7:45 am saying my truck was ready. They did a complete transmission rebuild and and tear main seal replaced and had it road ready in 2 days. The only words I have is those guys ROCK!!! I will recommend these guys to any and everyone who has transmission issues. Thank yall so much.

Marcus Wallace A co-worker recommended this shop for my wife’s car. The vehicle is a Kia K-900 which are rare and parts are hard to find. The A/C stopped cooling and it was brought to the local Lafayette Kia dealership for diagnosis and repair and the estimate was 1800$ for a “leaking evaporator” which even I knew was not leaking so I sought a second opinion and was quoted around 600$ at Nu-Tek with a different diagnosis. The original repair was going to require that the whole dashboard be removed but after replacing the compressor valve and re-charging the system (which was included with the quote) the A/C is fixed. The car was there for a week only because they had to order the part but once the part arrived the car was ready that day. Great communication from staff and friendly service. On a different note, I brought my work truck (Mack dump truck) there a year ago for A/C repair and have had no issues since. Not sure if they routinely work on commercial vehicles like this but they took care of it in one day. UPDATE: 5/9/25- A/C on wife’s Kia K-900 still operates as it should, no issues. Original repair almost two years ago.

Connor McGee I brought them a brand new 600$ steering rack because I needed them to chase the threads with a tap I did not have. You’d think an automotive machine shop could easily chase some aluminum threads right? So, I told them the correct size tap and left it there. When I came in the next day the lady puts my rack on the counter and to my amazement some methhead had managed to crack the aluminum housing where the inlet was, destroying the rack (looks like they used the wrong tap and then beat it with a hammer lol). She then said not to worry and that she doesn’t have to even charge me for anything since they weren’t able do it (as if she was doing me a favor). I asked for a replacement and they told me to kick rocks! Rather than argue with crooks I opted to leave and never return. I would stay as far away from this shop as possible.

Brianna Guidry The first time I was satisfied thinking my truck was fixed brought it back for ac paid 700 all together ac still didn’t work. Since I work I never got a chance to bring it back for the ac to be checked again. Brought it for timing chain unfortunately before the year was up they let it sit for months before looking at it after he said it would be a week. The young lady said it should’ve been covered by warranty but he says no cause it’s low on oil but here’s the catch it was only a little over 2qts low which wouldn’t have cause the timing chain not to be lubed so what does that mean ? They didn’t do it right amongst us discussing this issue he randomly blurts well you have a leak since he knew I was falling for the theory of the oil was too low so at this point he’s blaming everything but the actual reason! I decided I didn’t want them to even do any work just let me get it since it’s being diagnosed and me thinking diagnostics is only 100+ dollars since this is not my first go with them I was wrong he says 470 like whattttt for what you didn’t do anything but diagnosis avoid the trouble

Southern Rocker Have had issues multiple times. First time I was there for 3 hours and they lost my valve stem covers. I didn’t make a big deal. Second time I was there for 2 hours and they lost my lug nuts and replaced them with regular nuts. And today my car sat there over an hour, and after asking them for an update (they never called or texted) come to find out they didn’t even have tires to fit it. Yes, they kept my car an hour and didn’t even bother inform me that they couldn’t work on it…. guess you get what you pay for. Horrible service every time. Wish 0 stars was an option.

Which they are the absolute worst. So if you live in Lafayette and want to have people who are friendly and do a great job. I definitely recommend taking the drive to Abbeville. To get your vehicle worked on. Youll avoid possibly having your vehicle damaged like I did at the Service Chevrolet on Ambassador Caffery in Lafayette. So yea definitely recommend Roy Chevrolet 100%.

He fixed the problem in a timely manner and his prices are very reasonable. His wife made me feel very comfortable during my time there. They took very good care of me. Tisa Senegal Well...I thought MrJames was a straight up guy but my truck stayed there for almost 4 weeks. I drove passed that place every day going to work and my truck did not move. Radiator was supposed to be changed, said didnt need it. We know a little bit about some things, Im not a dummy. Radiator still leaks. Oil was supposed to be changed, nope! My husband lost 100.00 a day for the use of his truck. I had originally gave this place a 5.0, for the first visit, which was worth it, but I think this man has too much on his plate!!

stephen kilpatrick Let me tell yall about how amazing this place is. I called to bring my car in and see why it was hesitant to start. They were honest from jump and very transparent about what was going on with my car. They didn’t even charge to look at it. James was very fast and efficient. I ended up doing some additional things and they were able to get me taken care of very fast. HIGHLY recommend this place! I will be using this place from now on. They also do window tint such as brows and windows, and paint correction and wraps as well!
