Bayou Cane Cafe - Houma (LA)

4 /5 Matthew Brunet: This was our first time here since the restaurant changed. The remodel made it into a very nice dining room experience. We will be back to try other things, but I wasnt too happy with the portion size on the fried pork chops meal. You get 2 small cutlets and 2 sides, and yes it did fill me up. I just wish there was more pork because it was really good. I was also able to sample some French toast from my wifes plate and it was... Fine. Nothing super special, just well made French toast. The wait staff is great and very friendly. Parking can be a bit of an issue if it gets busy but it was fine while we were there.

4 /5 Celeste Cheramie: Food was decent, but the service was very good. The sweet tea tasted like it had soap in it, but they switched my drink to a soft drink with no problem. My husband asked for a plain burger, and it came with all the fixings. It was late though so maybe that’s why. The sandwich meat on the club sandwich was too thick; but honestly it’s hard to find a club sandwich around town so I wasn’t even mad. I’d order that again. Overall the service was so good that I’d absolutely go back. Sweet friendly people.

5 /5 Ms Rachel Touze: Kindest waitress. Told me I smelled good. I went twice in a week. The first time I got the friend shrimp poboy with sweet potato fries and the second time I got the half fried, half grilled po boy with sweet potato fries and a side of honey. 10/10
