5 /5 Lonnie Stanley: We traveled to Louisiana to drive up the historic route of 3049. We found this recently and decided to make the drive over to see the sites. The time to go is in June when the flowers are blooming, but we went anyway. It is a very pretty drive, but as it came time to eat, we couldnt find a restaurant. Thats when we saw this one in Gilliam. It was nearly 2 p.m., and we were not sure they would seat us. When we walked in, they met us at the door and showed us a seat. They said it was no problem and took our orders. The food came out quickly and was hot. I had the Chicken Fried Steak, and my wife had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. The restaurant was nice and clean. If youre driving 3049, stay on it till you get to Gilliam and eat at the Main Street restaurant. Youll be glad you did.
