5 /5 Kar Explore: Visited this Indian restaurant in downtown New Orleans during Christmas week, and even though it was super busy, the service and food were outstanding. We tried reserving through Google but it didn’t go through, so we walked in—and Rani at the front was amazing. She originally quoted ~40 minutes, but once she understood our situation (we were nearby and only a party of four), she kindly arranged a table for us within 5 minutes. Huge thumbs up to Rani for the hospitality! We tried the special drink (toddy water) which wasn’t what we expected, but it tasted really good—just wish the portion was bigger. For food, everything was top-notch: Chicken Majestic was flavorful (slightly oily, but delicious), the special Champaran Mutton with spicy garlic naan was fantastic, and both the Hyderabadi chicken dum biryani and mutton biryani were absolutely on point. Portions were generous—we were so full we couldn’t even try dessert. Highly recommend this place.

4 /5 lekha subaiya: These guys serve authentic food from Southern India, spicy and very flavourful. Champaran mutton not to be missed!! Excellent Naan breads. Gulab jamun dessert made in house was a great finish to our family meal.

5 /5 Tanuj Joshi: Visited Namaste Nola in New Orleans with friends and had a great experience overall. We started with Mirapakaya Bhajji, which was nicely spiced and crispy, followed by Chicken Majestic—flavorful, tender, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The Gobi Manchurian had a good balance of crunch and sauce, and the Vegetable Fried Rice paired well with everything. The cocktails really stood out—Nawabi’s Manhattan, Falsa G&T, Toofan, and LIT were all well-crafted and added a fun twist to the evening. The ambiance felt lively yet comfortable, making it a great spot to hang out with friends. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in New Orleans and craving Indian flavors with creative drinks.

5 /5 C W: My friends and I had a great time here. The food was fabulous, and our server, Om, was extremely patient and friendly. We shared each other’s dishes, and there wasn’t a single item we didn’t enjoy. I especially loved the Lamb Kuruma—juicy, tender, and perfectly spiced. (Sorry, Om, I beat your spice level!) If we come back to New Orleans, I’ll definitely revisit this wonderful restaurant.

5 /5 Manfred Zheng: Quiet Indian establishment that a friend of mine found following his nose. I got the butter chicken with some cheese naan and mago lassi. Ive been itching to try cheese naan for a while and this places cheese naan did not disappoint. The cheese was so stretchy and cheesy while not overpowering the flavor of the naan. Butter chicken was solid and delicious as always, a safe staple of any Indian restaurant. The mango lassi helped tie the meal together.
