1 /5 Pj Hasten: As someone who has experience with multiple mechanic shops and has also worked on their own vehicle, avoid this place. They are rip offs. I took my car here after it started making a loud warbling noise in the rear that sounded exactly like a bad bearing. A smaller mechanic said it was the pinion bearing and that Monroe’s was great for that type of work. I called Monroe’s and asked if they did pinion bearing replacements for my vehicle and also could they just confirm the diagnostic. They said sure, bring it in. They told me they’d be able to look at it the day after I dropped it off. They had my vehicle for over a week. They called me to tell me that they drove my car several times and did not hear the noise. They didn’t hear the super loud noise that multiple passengers and another mechanic heard… They said it might be the pinion bearing but we don’t do that for your car…then they charged me $105. They also told me over the phone they weren’t going to charge me since they did nothing at all, so I don’t know why I was charged or why they changed their mind. How are you a mechanic that can’t identify the sound of a bad bearing?? And why would you tell me to bring my car in if you don’t replace pinion bearings? And in what insane world does it cost $105 to tell me you don’t know and can’t do anything? I will never bring my car back here. I took my car to another mechanic and they fixed it in 4 days. I left Monroe’s $105 poorer, and absolutely nothing fixed on my car.
