5 /5 Debbie M: I love this museum! Wonderful exhibits! Last week I went 2 days in a row because I spent hours just on the 3rd floor my first day there. My visit began with a wonderful demonstration of their Aeolian organ on the 3rd floor. Surround sound from the roaring twenties! Very cool. Then I explored various exhibits about the history, people and traditions of New Orleans. Admission is free, just check in to get a ticket. Do not miss their wonderful gift shop next door!

Theres a lot of history packed into this collection, and its presented in an engaging way. I spent a good amount of time exploring the various exhibits and definitely left with a better understanding of New Orleans past. If youre the kind of person who enjoys museums and historical sites, I would definitely suggest setting aside at least an hour to explore. Its a worthwhile and free activity that offers a great insight into the history and culture of New Orleans.

4 /5 Kelly Lee: The museum consists of two buildings with three floors of galleries. While there are plenty of exhibits, none stood out as particularly captivating. We spent about 30 minutes exploring. On the plus side, the museum is clean, and restrooms are conveniently located throughout. If youre in the area, its worth a quick visit, but not a must-see destination.

陳愛玉: The Moonwalk Riverfront Park is a really nice place to take a stroll along the Mississippi River. Its a well-maintained walkway that offers lovely views of the water and the city skyline, including the impressive Crescent City Connection bridge. I particularly enjoyed watching the various boats and ships passing by, including some large steel boats, which was quite interesting to see. The park provides a great vantage point to observe the bustling maritime activity on the Mississippi. The park is conveniently located near many other attractions, such as the French Quarter and Jackson Square, making it a great addition to any itinerary. Zigler Art Museum - Jennings

Lori: Great art museum not too far from home. Very sweet lady gave us a tour. She was knowledgeable and also patient with all of my kids’ questions. Beautiful pieces and interesting history. No entry fee. Worth a visit.

W.H Tupper General Merchandise Museum - Jennings

Olivia: Incredibly cool free (donations accepted) museum with passionate and kind staff. Its essentially a frozen in time "time capsule" experience, that gives you an interesting way to look back at 1940s America. Their collection and variety of items is very impressive. This is definitely worth a visit.

April Brown: Its a nice little spot to sit and pass some time. Was clean and quiet compared to the bigger towns. Lots of little shops and museums i didnt know existed until now too

Nick Bibbee: This was a pleasant little stop. A Geocache brought us here after a nearby plane competition. It seemed to be well maintained, bathrooms were clean, the lake was pretty, and the ducks were plentiful. The animal mention takes a big change inside the place because during office hours, there are alligators inside to view!!! But wait, theres more!! If youre fortunate enough to be there when there is enough staff, you might get to pet, or even hold, a real live baby gator!!! The staff was very friendly and informative. Passing through the area? Make this 1 of your pit stops!

Gator Chateau - Jennings

Marijoy Maringit: There is no entrance fee. The staff were really nice. Its a good place to see alligators and feed the ducks. You can even see duck eggs.

Andrzej Ligienza: A good piece of optics development history. Numerous exhibits, unfortunataly described only in german. Really positive impression althoug feeling a little bit unfulfilled.

Lafayette Science Museum - Lafayette

Jasmin Johnson: Im a lifelong learner, so museums peak my interest. It was a really cool experience. It was very engaging and full of current and historic information.The clerk was not the friendliest, but she was tolerable. My nephew had a great time.

Acadiana Park Nature Station - Lafayette

Vanessa Jones: Great place to go for a walk! The boardwalk was really nice since it was a bit wet still when we went. We saw lots of turtles, some raccoons, and several tiny toads! However, we should have been more prepared with bug spray. The employee at the nature station was so helpful and even had a couple options of bug spray that we could use which let us enjoy the trails much longer. The little nature station was neat and informative. It was great place to get outside and see the area and we appreciate the help. Next time we will remember bug spray!

LARCs Acadian Village - Lafayette

Sheila Flood: We visited here from 2:00 to closing at 4:00 in the afternoon in early January and the light was just beautiful. The Christmas decorations were still up so things looked a little bit different than they would normally but the whole place would be absolutely fabulous at any time of the year! So many artifacts and such attention to detail in a magnificent green, rural setting. Signs placed with the artifacts and a brochure gave background information.
