Louis and Elaine The Saint Mary’s Assumption Church is one of the most beautiful Catholic Churches in the City. It is majestic from the outside and even more beautiful on the inside. The grounds are also well manicured and beautifully designed. This church is designed in a way that truly makes a person of faith feel comfortable and welcome. Truly tis is a church of which the Parish should be proud.

Zoe Mittleman One of if not the most beautiful churches in New Orleans. They recently finished doing a lot of restoration and painting to the inside of the church, and it looks fantastic! Ive been coming occasionally since I was a kid, and it looks the same but better with the new paint. Definitely recommend going to Mass and trying to go to the Latin Mass. Absolutely beautiful!

Hoa Nguyen It a beautiful old church. When I looked up at the altar I know this old church is a gift from God. She is perfectly made for the old traditional mass. Everything is setting in stone no one can remove it.

jasmine mcneil I visited from Atlanta on the fourth Sunday of Advent and I really enjoyed the mass. The homily truly resonated with me. I brought a Protestant friend and they felt the Holy Spirit in the church. I thought the parish was very modern because the altar servers didn’t have the normal vestments I was use to. I loved the architecture of the sanctuary.

William Sharpe A home from home! I was in town visiting for 2 weeks and wanted to check out an ARC church in the area. From the moment I walked in I was made to feel like one of the family, so many smiling, warm faces that made me feel so comfortable in an unfamiliar town. Everyone made such an effort with me, from the ushers, to the pastor! I hope I am back in New Orleans soon, bless this church!

A nice church and I enjoyed the childrens performance. My main issue is pastors telling people to turn to bible chapters but lights are off so if you had a bible you couldnt see it in the dark. Otherwise a decent church experience.

Johnson Candy (candyjohnson68) I was looking for a Church to call home. I grew up in a Presbyterian Church in New York. I tried the Presbyterian Church on St. Charles but it did not feel right. I literally cried the first time I walked in and saw the place. It is beautiful, historic and everyone there is so friendly. My first service I was hugged by most of the congregation. It caught me off guard, but now I walk around and give a warm welcome to everyone there. I was honored to have Reverend Fred marry my husband and me. I am so happy to be a part of the congregation. It is friendly, non judgmental, you leave feeling good about yourself and they always have a pot of coffee on!

D Schnatz This church is beautiful inside and out. It is a wonderful place to hold a wedding and met every expectation during the event.
I would point out that the banister on the front stairs going down from the church to the street level needs attention. The brass outer rod spins on the banister. So when you think youre reaching out for a handhold you actually have nothing to grip. One elderly lady had that issue and took a tumble down the stairs when she tried to hold on to the railing as she descended.

Tony Tee Racism reigns supreme here. My car broke down in the church parking lot and a black man in a white SUV claiming to be from the Church drove up and started yelling at me to leave. Called me a cracker and tried to fight me in the parking lot when I didn’t leave right away. He wouldn’t listen to me when I tried to tell him my car was having electrical issues. Very unfortunate if he is associated with the church. I was in distress and he forced me to leave.
