Haley Edwards Avoid going here for sedation dentistry! On their website they make it seem like you’ll be placed in a “comfort room” where you’ll be taken care of. I was placed in a regular dental room with the door open so I could hear the person next to me getting their teeth drilled. It took 30 minutes for someone to finally come in and administer the pill that’s meant to help you relax. To my horror I felt around my mouth when I got home after coming to and realized only completed a small portion of the work was completed and they sent me home without knowing what was going on. To this day my partner still doesn’t know why they sent me home, he drove me home under the impression that the work was complete. I wouldn’t have even gotten a refund for the unfinished work if I didn’t call and ask. If you already have dental trauma, this place will just make it worse.

molly gardner The surgery its self was fine but the results after care were horrible. I had an extraction and graft,. 2 weeks after I contacted the office &said I was in a lot of pain, they asked if I could come in immediately , I said I could in an hour. Their response was to wait a week and a half cause the doctor was going out of town and didnt stay til 4 pm that day. I got antibiotics from another dentist because I was in so much pain. I went in finally 1.5 weeks later, immediately he argued about asking me to wait until after his trip , then having the took an xray, (no ct scan of sorts, even tho it was mentioned ) poked my jaw and dismissively said , everythings fine "youre just clenching your teeth". Which I still denied. 4 days after this I went to another surgeon who stayed late , and who took a scan that immediately showed the bone graft was failing . He pulled pieces out of my jaw and now it is hopefully healing. This took a MONTH . It should have been a week or two. Not blaming for bone graft failure, because things happen . But everything else following I am. I told his staff about it via email, and wasnt even responded to.

Tuan Tran I had to re-do my 1 month old filling at Smile Care. I was having issues with temperature and biting sensitivity on the tooth with the filling. Those issues are now gone. Glad I followed the dentist’s recommendation at this location.

As a new patient, she made me feel very comfortable and gave me great information about the crown procedure and the material that would be used and the reasons for it. I dread getting novocaine but she made that process as painless as possible, taking her time letting the initial tiny injection taking affect before administering the full load. 10/10 would recommend and excited to bring my children to her moving forward!

Tori Simpson This was one of the best dental experiences I have had, ever. I was on vacation visiting from out of town and had a dental emergency due to infection. They were able to get me in immediately and provided me with just what I needed and further direction for when I returned home. I felt so comforted and relieved here. The woman at the front desk is so delightful and Dr. Coutin is wonderful. He is very thorough and you can tell he really cares. All in all, everyone here is very helpful and caring. If I lived in New Orleans, I would make this my dentist. Also - the stained glass window decor is a very nice touch worth mentioning!

He also conducts his staff in a professional manner and teaches and directs them throughout my visit. His staff is inviting as well. I became a new patient after speaking with their professional office receptionist just on an unrelated issue. Her professionalism during the conversation prompted me to change dentist. I quickly made an appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted as if they had known my for years. I felt welcomed and comfortable. During my exam, the dental hygienist was very informative and explained each procedure as it occurred. It made me comfortable and the level of fear from the drilling disappeared. This was the most relaxing dental experience ever. I wanted to do it again soon. I have always had a fear of the drill sound used along with teeth sensitivity. This was the best experience I have had in all my years going to the dentist. I give them the rating of Excellence.

Joshua Ive been a patient of Dr. Campo for nearly 10 years, and theres a reason I keep coming back. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. My routine cleanings are always thorough, and the hygienist makes the experience enjoyable with great conversation. Dr. Campo himself is exceptional - knowledgeable, professional, and takes the time to explain everything in detail. Beyond regular cleanings and fillings, he helped address an issue where my upper molars were hitting my lower ones and causing them to loosen. His expertise solved a problem I didnt even know how to describe properly. The only minor inconvenience is the street parking situation, so Id recommend arriving a few minutes early to find a spot, as you might need to park a block or so away. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Campo and his team for anyone looking for quality dental care with a personal touch.

The dentist was great as well, in expressing his concerns and making a plan for the next steps for my next visits. nhavan nguyen I had an unpleasant experience at this dental office. I went in for a chipped tooth this past Saturday and this was the closest spot I found for walk ins. Long story short, the dentist was dismissive and rough. He didnt explain anything he was doing during my procedure and there was no effort to make sure l was comfortable. Before numbing me, he tried to give me nitrous which I opted out of because it would have been $545.. for a small chipped tooth. The numbing part was so intense I felt it through my nose I started tearing up. He goes "well thats what the nitrous was for but you refused." I was thinking well it sounds like you don’t know how to do your job either! During the procedure, his hand placement was covering my nose making it difficult for me to breathe properly. I even raised my hand 2x but he didnt see so I spoke up. On top of that, the office felt dirty and neglected. The following day, my tooth bonding broke off!!! I let him know what happened and thankfully I was able to get a refund. I got my tooth fixed with another dentist today and they charged me only half of what they were. They also did not use nitrous or had to numb me. Please stay away if you value your life and teeth.

Phillip Geraci When I give this dentist 1 star I am actually trying to be nice. My daughter came in needing two teeth removed and they were supposed to give her nitrous and sedation. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone, find any other dentist other than him. They charged her $350 per tooth + $150.00 sedation and the sedation didnt even help because she was wide awake the whole time. She should have never been treated like that and that was ridiculous. When looking at the sink where they rinse out the mouth it looked nasty. If theyre not lucky I might just report him to the American Dental Association

Courtney Gaillot Would give zero stars if I could run from this place while you still can. They messed up my mouth for life im now 29 yrs old and missing all but 9 of my bottom teeth. Went in for wisdom teeth Was not having any other problems and always took care of my teeth he said i needed like 4 or 5 root canals which was A surprise since I always do take care of my teeth and wasnt having any typical symptoms of pain or anything well he did root canals on me without my full knowledge of what it entailed and how much it would cost. Used all the care credit they could get so i couldnt afford to go back. Also was rough at One point I started to come out and he was being so mean to his assistant literally yelling at her. Its so Sad just dont go here.

Zachary Stanley I hadnt been to the dentist in a long time, and the doctor immediately put me at ease and went to work. She did a fantastic job -- but thats not why im posting a review. I wasnt even supposed to hear this, but on my way out, getting scheduled for my next appointments, the doctor came in to the inner lobby to quietly address a problem of how a patient couldnt pay. The doctor simply stated she would do work for free and to tell the patient that. This brought a tear to my eye and warmed my heart. On my way out, I realized that I had found my dentist.

I chose this location because it is close to my home and is a single dentist owned office—not one of those offices with a ton of different dentists. Dr. Amos and her team are incredibly professional, friendly, and welcoming. My hygienist was singing while she cleaned my teeth, and I loved that. I’m glad I found my dentist here!

Having good oral care is one of the best qualities a person can have. Having submitted a few reviews for dentistry, we have found a winner. So Dumas Family Dental came highly recommended from a few people in the community. I’ve known about Dr. Dumas for a while because I am a teacher and they have always done outreach and also career day at the schools I’ve worked at. I’ve always loved that they are family orientated, black owned, and overall experts in the field of dentistry. We have been on the hunt for a new dentist. Our dentist got a new building and bigger buildings mean more patients, but unfortunately the quality of service went down. We made contact with Dumas Family Dental and received the next available appointment. My 24 year old went and he said it was the best experience that he’s had in dentistry. His hygienist was Maria. He is very particular about his dental hygiene, so I knew if he was pleased, that I would be also. I went to my appointment about a week later and I was wowed and it takes a lot to impress me! Although I waited a little longer than I would have liked, the receptionist told me that they had some issues with my insurance. Once in the back, my hygienist gave me the best cleaning I have ever received in my whole life! My whole dental life! And I go to the dentist faithfully every 6months. I don’t pass out compliments to freely, as I am very particular and also, very detailed. My hygienist name was Tiffany. She talked me through everything that she was doing and why…the why is the most important part. She gave me recommendations and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I am naturally inquisitive because of who I am as a person. During my visit, she gave me great reasoning, choices, and also just an overall explanation of teeth. As I stated earlier, I am a teeth person and I have been to a few dentist before, but none of the visits really impressed me as much as this cleaning did. She used tools that I had never seen before, to make sure that my teeth were in tiptop shape. Once Dr. Dumas came in, he also sealed the deal for this great review. His likability, mixed in with the fact that he is an expert in the field of dentistry confirmed my choice and I am happy that we chose them. After finishing the exam, I thanked him and he thanked me for my service in education. We have now found a dental home, which is something that is so very hard to find. Most of conversations are built around… “What doctor/ dentist do you go to?” I am happy to refer all of my people to Dumas Family Dental for good, quality, efficient, fast, and personable dental care.
