5 /5 JaedotCo: So I am a teeth person….not obsessed but pretty close. I’ve had braces twice and feel like your teeth are one of the most important things on your body. Having good oral care is one of the best qualities a person can have. Having submitted a few reviews for dentistry, we have found a winner. So Dumas Family Dental came highly recommended from a few people in the community. I’ve known about Dr. Dumas for a while because I am a teacher and they have always done outreach and also career day at the schools I’ve worked at. I’ve always loved that they are family orientated, black owned, and overall experts in the field of dentistry. We have been on the hunt for a new dentist. Our dentist got a new building and bigger buildings mean more patients, but unfortunately the quality of service went down. We made contact with Dumas Family Dental and received the next available appointment. My 24 year old went and he said it was the best experience that he’s had in dentistry. His hygienist was Maria. He is very particular about his dental hygiene, so I knew if he was pleased, that I would be also. I went to my appointment about a week later and I was wowed and it takes a lot to impress me! Although I waited a little longer than I would have liked, the receptionist told me that they had some issues with my insurance. Once in the back, my hygienist gave me the best cleaning I have ever received in my whole life! My whole dental life! And I go to the dentist faithfully every 6months. I don’t pass out compliments to freely, as I am very particular and also, very detailed. My hygienist name was Tiffany. She talked me through everything that she was doing and why…the why is the most important part. She gave me recommendations and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I am naturally inquisitive because of who I am as a person. During my visit, she gave me great reasoning, choices, and also just an overall explanation of teeth. As I stated earlier, I am a teeth person and I have been to a few dentist before, but none of the visits really impressed me as much as this cleaning did. She used tools that I had never seen before, to make sure that my teeth were in tiptop shape. Once Dr. Dumas came in, he also sealed the deal for this great review. His likability, mixed in with the fact that he is an expert in the field of dentistry confirmed my choice and I am happy that we chose them. After finishing the exam, I thanked him and he thanked me for my service in education. We have now found a dental home, which is something that is so very hard to find. Most of conversations are built around… “What doctor/ dentist do you go to?” I am happy to refer all of my people to Dumas Family Dental for good, quality, efficient, fast, and personable dental care.
