Amy Brignac Im a stay at home mom of two boys and my husband works offshore so for mothers day he surprised me with a day spa. I was so tickled. It included 60 minutes full body massage, facial, pedi and mani, hair wash and style and lunch. Lets start off with the massage HORRIBLE the girl talked pretty much the whole time and lost focus of what she should of been doing. This lasted the whole 60 minutes. The facial was AMAZING I loved every second of it best part no talking only to ask me if I was ok lunch was amazing too btw. Now lets move on to my mani and pedi... lets just say I skipped on the pedi because I refuse to let that guy touch my feet. He was HORRIBLE I believe I can polish my nails better with my left hand (and Im a righty) talked so negative about the owner of the place how shes ripping him off on his pay checks omg who does that. Yall I didnt want my pedi I just wanted out this place so badly. I have am $80.00 balance left and I kinds just want that back. I do want to state tho. The staff that welcomed me in was great and friendly. The place was lovely that wasnt the issue at all. My issue was the employees and the fact my husband spent over $250.00 and it was pretty much a waste (let me note this wasnt my first massage)

Rya Butterfield **UPDATE** Dustin, mentioned in the review below, is now at the beauty shoppe in Houma. *** I drive all the way from Metairie to have Dustin cut my hair here. Dustin is amazing at consistently good bangs, which anyone whos had bangs before knows is a rarity. Everyone here is kind and professional. The prices are so low and the quality is so high!! I want to spread the word because Im so thankful for this place, yet Im kind of nervous about many more people knowing about it! Lol

Claire Alix I went in expecting a dinky little place with three people rushing to get me out as soon as possible. Instead I received quality service by people who cared whether or not I was comfortable. I was immediately taken care of and now Ive never felt more relaxed or more refreshed. This is definitely a place you want to go to if you want to relax.

Jaclyn Haddock Connor with the Kenny G hair was super helpful and an amazing consultant! I havent gotten makeup or special hair products in a long time & he was very knowledgeable & good company. Zoe did my hair color. I asked for vibrant electric blue and auburn like the picture I brought (& posted here), but MORE VIVID BLUE & I got auburn and GREEN hair. I specifically said I was scared to get my hair done bc the last time I did, the girl dyed it green instead of blue, & my hair was ruined for months. The red/brown does not cover my greys either. Im really sad over my hair. I called the store & tried to see what could be done.. they made an appointment for me, but I was scared my hair was already "full" & nothing else could be done bc I got highlights. The color division would get messed up & I decided not to waste my gas to feel unhappy and uncomfortable. Maybe Ill just stick to the makeup part of the store..

Melanie Galliano I went there specifically to get color matched for foundation. I asked the sales person if she could help do that and that I didn’t want anything too expensive. She told me there were no samples of like L’Oréal or cheap stuff and the best they could do is hold up the bottle. I would go to Walmart if that’s what I wanted. I ended up color matching myself as best as I could and then I ordered it online from somewhere else.

Dove CJ I went to get my hair done (by dulce ) she was amazing and very gentle but, everything changed when I went to the front and pay. It was a cashier (blonde) not so nice to people of color (Hispanic) she was nice towards white people but when it was my turn to pay she changed her attitude towards me. She made me feel so uncomfortable to the point where I got confused with the cards I was using to pay with. I’m Sorry but my money is as good as anybody else.

David Becker Its mostly a womens salon, but men are welcome they do take appointments, so its easy to book when youre ready. Friendly staff.

paul wernich I will get my hair cut here sometimes when I cant get one at my usual spot and it is hit or miss. I decided to get a manicure and pedicure because they claim that the students are supervised. The young lady made a good effort but was reading off an instruction card the entire time. A supervisor walked in and out twice but never stopped to ask questions or observe. The student did not clean under my nails nor did she trim them. It was relaxing but shiny nails with dirt under them is not a good look.

Chelsea Breaux Wash, cut and color for $30.. Yes please!! The students are under the watch of instructors so you get great results for the price. Kelsey did my hair and I love it! Wish they were open on Saturdays tho.

Jay Landry A lady that worked that who claimed to know what she was talking about sold me the wrong kind of product I needed for my hair. Now my best friend and I’s blonde hair are a silver and purple color.

Lilly Leger White If I could give the girl helping me stars I would. She was the most helpful, nice employee of come across in any store in a long time. I dont know her name but she had long hair, she was very knowledgeable about all the products and eager to help me get the right stuff. She definitely deserves recognition for being amazing. She was helping others, also. Shes a great member to have on yall team. This is the longest review Ive ever written.

Amy P Kristen did my pedicure. She is very friendly, speaks English and did a great job on the massage. My feet felt and looked amazing! My gel polish lasted for several weeks also. You need an appointment with her. She also does amazing nail designs if you get your nails done. Very talented and I highly recommended the services at Glisten Nails!

NSA Redacted No evidence of customer service. I walked in to check on services. The door chime sounded. I stood in the lobby waiting for several minutes and could hear employees in the back loudly talking, laughing, etc. No one came out to check so I left.

Van Maulden Dawn is incredible! She is the best stylist I have had in many years. Moved to the area in September. She does great work!

Jared Alleman No complaints, good air-conditioning going and all of the businesses seemed to be together without many empty stores mixed in (empties all seemed to be piled into one end). Lots of floral planters, benches, massage chairs, and vending areas throughout. Food areas are a bit spread out instead of one condensed food court.

Farrah Morris Ate at Fat Boys in the mall. Wings and Philly cheesesteak poboy were very tasty. Also visited GNC where the staff member was super knowledgeable and helpful.

MzQueen NoOne I like going to Essence Beauty Supply. The only thing I would change about them is customer service with some of the young ladies that is behind the counter. They dont smile the dont ask questions the majority of the time. They make me feel unwanted at times I guess. My opinion They do not know much about hair.

Devyn St. Martin Sold me a hair product that expires in less than 4 months & refuses to issue a cash refund, only store credit. Owner would not exchange the unopened-products out because they are chemicals. As an honest customer, that spent over $80 on hair products, I feel robbed out of my money! I’ve been supporting this beauty supply company faithfully since 2013, a total of 7+ years, supporting both locations over the years (Grand Caillou and West Park). But, I promise I won’t spend another penny with this company. I’m highly disappointed with the customer service!

alexandriaaa’ williams i recently bought bundles from this store . very nice quality , lasted me from beginning of October till now . and still in great condition . I also wanna point out the courtesy of the employees and not to mention the new management . really great store . highly recommended !

Alexis Pellegrin I absolutely love this place. The girls are all wonderful no matter who does my hair which is why Im always willing to go to any available stylist. Katie is always professional and sweet and for the first time at a salon I am always happy with my cut when I walk out!

Trisha Rabalais I always leave this salon feeling gorgeous. When my original stylist moved to another state, I started seeing Jessie and it’s like my hair never missed a beat. Jessie does an amazing job with color and my cut always works well to last until my next appointment. Their prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is welcoming. I would highly recommend these ladies!!!

Nina Battise I would use 0 stars I book the appointment online like they ask me to, I wait three weeks for the appointment I call a few days before my appointment is supposed to be only to find out despite getting a confirmation email I have no appointment and Im not in the books I tried to make the appointment over the phone to begin with to avoid things like this but that apparently wasnt an option. As a single mom who looks forward to these things it was very upsetting and I understand things happen but this was just so disappointing.

Karla Ghianda I had a laser treatment done by Taylor Acosta. She treated me like royalty as always. This is my first time seeing her at Haydel. I have seen her at other locations. She was so comforting and informative throughout the entire process. And texted me everyday to check up on me and to see how I was. She is truly the best at what she does. I highly recommend her!!!!! Looking forward to future visits for my ongoing skincare journey !!!

Jade Samanie I went for a mole removal & it literally look 6 minutes. from the time I filled out my paper work & was done with my procedure, it took 25 minutes. All of the staff was very friendly & Dr. Haydel was so great. She was very calming & gentle. I recommend this place any day!
