Bristy Skyles Was an overall experience from beginning to end of treatment. Each office staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and will explain in detail what is going to happen and what to expect on next appt. Dr. Koga is the STRAIGHT up bomb in fixing crooked teeth!! Not to mention how friendly she is and she takes time to get to know each patient. Dr. Koga definitely cares about each patient and goes above to make sure each patient has a smile they like. Natalya I would highly recommend Dr. Thornhill as a dentist to see in person. Recently I had to have a root canal done to one of my teeth which I hate needles. His assistant and him did an amazing job. The tooth had to have some major numbing done to it. They talked to me through the whole process which relieved a lot of my anxiety and they were very gentle. After this was done, Dr. Thornhill called to check on me the next morning which mean’t so much to me. Thanks again for taking great care of me through this process!! Alyssa Byrd I have debated whether or not I was going to leave a review because I’m not the type of person who does -good or bad- but my experience with this office was absolutely awful and I can’t not say thing especially because I’m still dealing with my with the aftermath a year later. 1 year ago I had to get a root canal done and this was my first time visiting this office. Everyone was extremely friendly and I was expecting things to go well because of what all was communicated to me. At the time of the procedure, I sat in the dentist chair for 5 HOURS, root canals should only take an hour 1/2 at most. 5 hour they had my mouth pried open, from that alone I was in so much pain I was holding back tears. After the procedure I was in so much pain, as to be expected from my understanding, but what I didn’t think was normal was this lasted for weeks. Because I had never had a root canal before, I was reading as much information as I could to understand why I was still hurting so much. During all this time I was continually calling them and keeping them informed. I came in to the office 4 separate times complaining about how much pain I was still in and I couldn’t eat or drink anything (even though the nerves are supposed to be gone). Everytime I went in they brushed it off saying this was normal (no it absolutely is not). The 4th time I went in I was at the point of begging for them to please take me seriously because I know I should not still be feeling pain 2 weeks after having this done. They FINALLY referred me to a specialist and the endodontist said the dentist did not get all the nerves out of my tooth despite having me in the chair for 5 hours. Not only did I have to pay thousands of dollars to peach tree, I also had to pay another thousand for a specialist to fix their mistake. I was on the phone several times throughout this time asking peach tree for a refund for the root canal and I kept was given the runaround. After maybe the 6th call they finally refunded me PARTIALLY. I am STILL paying on this procedure. Fast forward to today I was taking my chewable vitamin and my tooth completely fell out. I have never been afraid of the dentist but this experience has genuinely traumatized me and I feel like I’m living a horror movie. I ended up visiting a new dentist office and it turns out my new crown was never fully sealed to my gums!! So now I am having to pay another over thousand dollars to get a new filling and new crown made. This is absolutely ridiculous. I will NEVERRRR be going back here and I strongly strongly suggest no one else does either!!!!

Rendy Gibbs Took my son in for a cleaning we were seen by Lauren she is really sweet and great with kids.. hes has autism and she put him right at ease she was really engaging he wasnt scared at all. She did a excellent job getting his teeth cleaned the entire ride home he looked in the mirror and said " my teeth beautiful" lol. Stephanie Weith Thank you! So I deal with extreme anxiety with going to any doctors. And I missed my initial appointment for Monday. After explaining to the nice lady why I was so upset and why I needed it pulled ASAP. (Bad cavity, food was getting in my tooth and causing a major infection to reoccur.) She very kindly asked me to come today first thing. They got me in and out before my anxiety even had the chance to kick in. I can not express how much gratitude I have for this clinic. They listen, they care, and they help! I will also probably be coming here to get my dentures when the time is right. Seriously thank you all. Its nice to have a dentist who listens to the patient and does what the patient is requesting and not push fillings and root canals. This clinic doesnt get the reviews they deserve. And so affordable! I just about called Dr. Nelson jr. A ball face lie when he told me the prices for dentures! Guys thank you. Thank you so much because the stress yall just relieved getting the tooth out of my head is undescribable. ------------- They didnt fail me today. Thank you guys for listening and understanding. And seeing me ASAP. Was extremely happy to see both Dr. Nelsons back in the clinic. I love Dr. Nelsons son! I will see yall in 8 days so we can get this tooth out my mouth. Courtney Graves I have used this office my entire life, but sadly will be having to find a new dentist for me, my husband, and son. Dr. White was my original dentist and I will say I have nothing but positives to say about him. Dr. V has been my dentist the majority of the time though, and over the last 2 years I’ve had to have a lot of work done. His bed side manner is lacking to say the least. There were constant issues with appoints being rescheduled. Then today when I arrived for an appointment that was rescheduled last week after I had been there for an hour, I was told they’d need to reschedule again because I was late and he wasn’t there. Admittedly I did arrive 7 minutes late due to traffic issues. Since I’ve previously sat in the waiting room for 20+ minutes I didn’t think I’d need to call over 7 minutes. ESPECIALLY since I spoke with them at 8:21 am confirming the appointment. (I called because they always call the day before and hadn’t so I wanted to make sure I had the right date. I was told they called me yesterday and it was noted I confirmed. Literally never happened.) When I arrived no one was in the lobby area. I waited a few minutes then decided to open the door to the back and go to the restroom where I ran into the girl working the front desk, Jessica. She said to go to the bathroom then come look over some paperwork. When I walked out she informed me they were going to have to reschedule. I of course thought she had to be joking. She wasn’t and was very rude. Apparently Dr. V had left. I asked if he left at 3:05 because he certainly wasn’t there when I was pulling up. Funny enough while I was outside in my car I saw him pull back up around 3:20. They don’t seem to care if they waste your time that you have to take off work. I went inside, got my records, made sure I paid off any balance, and cancelled future appointments for me and my family. Truly sad that this is how they treat patients.

Nichole Hunkus Call someone else. Its NOT worth it. Like other reviewers, I also had a problem with the staff member ("office manager") that handles insurance. She lacked understanding of basic verification and in/out of network policies. I continued to work around it and only asked to hold my childs appointment for a 15 minutes so I could do my due diligence with insurance. She said she didnt understand, wouldnt listen to me, continued to interrupt me and pushed me to my limit. Ive NEVER lost my cool with anyone over the phone but she pushed me over the edge. I disconnected the line to take a breather. (No one should ever be pushed like this over insurance verification.) I called back and she kept pushing me and not letting me speak until I lost my cool. Given that others have spent their time to complain about her here, someone should really work with her on basic customer service skills, like giving people who are calling in with a need, the opportunity to speak, listening skills and the ability to problems solve. Ive ALWAYS been able to communicate easily with people, but I felt sick hanging up the phone when I had to resort to raising my voice. She degraded me as a mother and made it about herself when it should have been about getting my child in for a serious issue.

Chad Murry Dr. Jones and his dental assistant, Jackie were both very kind, professional, truthful and compassionate to my dental situation. The exterior and interior of the Dental office are very posh and have all the latest equipment. I had an emergency appointment and was a walk-in. Even though I was a walk-in, I was still seen in a timely fashion and was only in the office for an hour & a half. My emergency situation was treated today with antibiotics. My follow up appointment/procedure was made 12 days away. I’ll then have a 2 week follow up appointment to come up with a game plan for my other problematic areas that are less severe. Overall, I am extremely grateful and pleased with the way I was treated by all team members here in this office!

Jamie Johnson I had such an amazing experience at PHSC dental. When I walked in the door, I was greeted by friendly faces and I didn’t have to wait long. When I was called back for my exam, Ashtyn was the dental assistant who stayed with me throughout the process and she made me feel so comfortable and calmed my anxiety. Dr. Anna was quick but very thorough, which I appreciated. Thanks to both of them, this was the best experience I’ve ever had in a dental office. I cannot recommend them enough and now look forward to future visits. 20/10 highly recommend!

Megan Hobbs Went in for a filling and filled the wrong tooth . Dr said It wasn’t in the notes . Called to speak to manager . Missed his call called him back never heard back from him again . How can you mess up filling a wrong tooth??? I had a an appointment to go back to get the correct one fixed and I’m too scared to even come back . Exp after they haven’t cared enough to contact me and make it right . Mind you I paid for this !!!! I called today to let them know the tooth he filled has been hurting me since yesterday ! He wouldn’t prescribed me any antibiotics can’t see me today they are booked months out ! If this is an absess of any sort it could Kill me . And as everyone know Tooth aches are the worst . I must say the dentist who filled it was sweet as can be made me feel comfortable other then they are not even Licensed to use Laughing gas . But to the Manager dentist I spoke with this am who seemed like he didn’t care about my pain was absolutely rude and I will not be returning . If you can’t take care of your patients more less get the correct tooth filled your scheduled for maybe this place shouldn’t be operating. We are not just another number ! And that’s how your treated. They roll you in and out fast . Even my first cleaning here wasn’t the best I had ever . Very disappointed .

Julie Pfeiffer This place is amazing. A couple of weeks ago I broke a tooth. Trying to find a doctor that took my insurance and open on a Friday was hard. But they were and I did a “ walk in” the next morning. Granted it had infection so she couldn’t pull. But she prescribed antibiotics and she got that tooth out last week! Every person at this clinic is truly kind and cares about you. Dr. Reddick even prayed over me before proceeding. I wish i could have found her years ago. Their office is officially stuck with me from now on!!

Ericka Smith I had an upper denture done at the end of may this year the next month the teeth begin to come out. I was eating a sandwich and one of the front teeth came out !! I took it back she glued it back on..I say glue because about 2 weeks later the same tooth and one on side of it came out while I was having lunch with coworkers so embarrassing !! Now she wants to change me a $145 per teeth to fix something that should have never happened in the first place.. I give her credit for the shape and size of the teeth in the denture but the quality of the work is garbage !!! I took them to 2 different places that made dentures and they told me that should have never happened..

A My family and I have been going to Southern Roots for a few years now, and it has always been a positive experience. The dentists and assistants are always nice, and make sure that you are comfortable. They are excellent with my child, and he likes going to the dentist from the experiences he has received.

Nathan Wright Nice staff. After my 1st treatment, I did not hear back from anyone about future appointments to complete the treatment. I asked for a manager to discuss my out of pocket charges and amount billed to insurance being more than the quoted treatment but no one reached out.

Office Account When my son aged out of his pediatric dentist we were given a few names to try for his continued care. Southern Roots was one of them. We called and discussed his situation of having White Coat Syndrome and severe anxiety in relation to dentists. He had made great progress but still had issues in that area. They were more than accommodating and even took on myself and his sister as patients. They are truly an amazing group and cant recommend them enough!!
